Maybe if Crowton actually knew how to fricking coach QBs he wouldn't be calling plays with a '2' out of 10 QB.

are you saying that he should micro-manage gonzales at practice? Seems like a conflict of interest.

Not sure if you are aware, but Crowton is the QB coach and the person responsible for QB play, not BG.

Because Crowton thinks he's staying. I hope he's wrong, though.

I am confused.... if according to the people we support the coach because he is a member of the university, does that mean I have to support Crowton? Am I not allowed to be critical of any coach or only the coaches they like?

It's the Rant. It's your right, no..responsibily to be a douchebag at any time.

So you support Crowton and believe he is the man for the job at LSU then? Since it is considered being a "douche" to want him fired.

Also were you a Curly/Tepper supporter?

I am very happy about the season, other than the Tenn. thing and since that Miles has been a better coach.

So your pleased with the Wizzzard and his glorious offense?

I guess it depends on how you define "support." I am certainly not trying to sabotage anyone. Miles keeping Crowton will be similar to Dinardo's faith in Tepper. It will be the end of both, no matter what the record is.

I will still pull for LSU to win every game, and the offense to be stellar. It doesn't mean I want Croton to stay. I still define that as support.

Look at the QB's under Crowton here since Flynn left (Jimbo's QB,) his time at Oregon and you will come to the conclusion that no QB is going to be successful under GC.

Any dumb arse that supports the University should support their coaches no matter what......

So what you're saying is we should support him if he pulls a Mike Leach on a player or makes a player play if he has a serious injury?

If he's here in 2011, I'll support him. I certainly have no interest in supporting coaches from other colleges. Why would I?

I think he's saying that even if crowton killed Mike and pawned LSU's national championship trophy we should still support our coaches.

Yes but it will seriously test my support of him if that makes any sense at all...

limited abilty at QB ?

who's fault is that? Isn't Crowton our QB coach? Didn't he hand pick our QB's? What's our offensive rank in all of college football?

It's time for an upgrade and if Miles can't pull the trigger I will lose respect for the man.

Look at the track record of QB's under Crowton at Oregon and LSU. Do you think this is a coincidence? It's not the QB's, it's the coach.

I'll be disappointed b/c like everyone else i think we need a change at OC. Despite all of the belly-aching about "how you win" the bottom line is always going to be the W's and L's, year end rankings, and championships.

-His win/loss record is superb.
-A bowl win this year and that's a top ten finish in 4 of 6 years.
-He needs more championships obviously in the very near future. 2 SECWC, 1 SECC, 1 BCSC are great but he needs more going forward.

To answer your question I wouldn't jump ship on the chances of the LSU football team in 2011 and would "support" (whatever that's worth) Miles' ability to put a winning product on the field.

I think LSU's chances to compete for a NC in '11 are pretty damn good, but in my opinion, it is contingent on some kind of change in the offense.

If he keeps him I think he should also agree that LSU could fire him with cause if the Offense doesn't rank in the top 20 percent.

I agree. If he stays and we get Mett then maybe he puts a 2007-esque offense on the field? :crossesfingers: I mean someone else would have "developed" Mett right? So he wouldn't have the wizard's taint on him right?

I'm gonna go sit in the shower and rock back and forth thinking happy thoughts.

Wake me for the spring game.

I would settle for top 50% in passing.

Did I miss something? Our record was 10-2 right? The two loses coming on the road to the #1 and #7 team?

Hey man - I'm a certified Postiger. But we won despite the offense, except, really Ole Miss. Last in TD passes in conference, near the bottom nationally in most offensive categories, even with Ridley playing lights out most of the year.
