It’s been a while since his name was brought up. I figured I’d freshen yalls memory.

I like your way of thinking.

Anyway we can get a big turnout for a scrimmage the way UK does?? Possibly have a scrimmage the night before a huge football game to get the fans fired up x2. What do you say?

I'd travel home for a Midnight Madness kind of scrimmage.

Get rip roaring drunk first and watch alley oops all night.

Unfortunately it is unlikely we would ever see that level of hype here for a basketball practice; although I for one would love to see it happen.

I think this is a great idea, and would give fans tailgating on campus the night before another activity, while building momentum for basketball program. Hopefully Wade is able to push LSU into doing something like it.

The way things are looking right now, I think our fan base is fully behind Will Wade and could see something like this happening.

Make it the night before BAMA and The PMAC would be wired similar to how UK gets.
It’s the perfect time to start a new tradition as long as he keeps the fan base happy.

I just hope that Wade is on the phone with Emery and Thomas!

Oh, I agree. My comments weren’t meant to suggest that the fan base isn’t behind Wade. Quite the contrary, I think the fans are head over heels in love with Wade and his potential at the moment. It’s just our fan base isn’t wired the same as programs like KY and other basketball schools when it comes to things like this. I think we could draw a decent crowd, especially if done in connection with something like the night before a football game; but to see the level of what “Blue Madness” draws, or similar events at Duke, Mich. St., etc. is not likely at this point, if ever. Heck, even with us being a football first school as it relates to fan support, you still don’t even see close to the level of attendance from fans at the Spring Game like you do at places like Alabama or other football comparable schools.

Probably wouldn’t see this since the Bama game falls 3 days before basketball season tip-off. No way Wade would want to a public practice/scrimmage so close. Now the UGA or Miss. St. games may be more of a possibility and would still have good crowds on campus. As for reasons stated above, you still wouldn’t see UK level of crowd though. Not trying to be cynical, just what the reality is.

I’m more excited for a not even scheduled yet basketball scrimmage than i am for this hopeless football season.

I think if we have a great year, next year we could do a Midnight Madness scrimmage type thing like UK and have a ton of fan support.

But I'd still go this year, just not sure the general public realizes how talented we're going to be yet.

#willwadeera

It's going to be a glorious season. He soon will be the favorite son in Baton Rouge. Mark my words, you will not be able to get into the PMAC come SEC play.

I agree 100%. We have good fans we just don’t have those type of fans who come no matter what.

we could have hired Jimbo or Herman and still wouldn’t have had 90K at a spring game.
If we can fill 3/4 of the PMAC for a scrimmage type game, I’d be happy!

Get Shaq and Ben Simmons involved somehow, people will come. Get other famous alumni on board and people will come.

Dude, LSU can't fill 3/4 of the PMAC for a conference game. GTFO.
