yea but some people just dont have to money to go to school at LSU or have the ACT to get in

Being a student at the university you love is a completely different feel and environment that cannot be matched through any other level of fandom. I just don't think that non-students can gain that level of appreciation that students are able to attain if they so wish.

Other than the military what are these "options" you speak of??

Rouge, I would love to agree with you and everything was rainbows and ice cream....But, reality is, we all have limitations and for some, that means a university like LSU is out of reach. I know plenty of guys who would have given their left nut to attend LSU, but they knew it wasn't meant to be. These guys are successful in their own right, but college just wasn't for them.

I'm sure her advisors in high school are already giving her this information though.

1. Military
2. Junior College and transfer
3. Smaller college and transfer
4. Just working after high school and actually working on your own to pay for school or getting yourself eligible.

she does have tops and these days tops doesnt cover very much, like 10,000 dollars which doesnt touch LSU tuition, maybe it does cover all of texas a&m tuition, but not here, say dude your on your own on this convo ranter just STFU

Well I didn't go to LSU undergrad, I went to a small system school out of HS. I did grow up in Baton Rouge, was a member of Civil Air Partol and from 1986-1990 I was at every home game in the South End Zone escorting the handicap folks to their section. My family is 3rd gen alumni and two have either MD or JD. Growing up in Baton Rouge, I loved LSU, but I had to get out of town for school. Wanted to check out some different shite. I was going to Tigerland at 16. I have been going to LSU home games since I was 5 years old through the good times and the bad. I also helped out at Dales camps and played in a few of Skips.
I wouldn't stop cheering for LSU because I didn't go to school there between 18-24. I have always been affiliated with the school.
I can also understand an alums perspective and trying to preserve what they feel they "earned" by going to school at LSU. I can appreciate that.I will be getting my Executive MBA from LSU, and the cost of this degree is about what a 4 year student pays in undergrad. Maybe then I can turn my nose up at all the "wal-mart jersey die-hards" I see getting blasted here all day.
Don't sweat these kids fandom.
