That would be awesome

It be next year. He is BY FAR the best QB has on its roster, but Miles is not likely to play him in this game.

Will Mettenberger get some serious play time Monday??

Could he be a part of a Miles strategy to show Saban a more spread offense?? Stranger things have happened.

I do think we need think we have opportunities to go downfield on Bama and I think Mettenberger may be more the QB to do that.

JJ will start and finish . Remember how great he played in the regular season game . We will win or lose with JJ . Miles made his choice . Why change now ?? It would be a burden to play someone else .

Nope Miles has called JJ number and we live or die by how well JJ does.
What if though, if JJ had not returned to the team and Mett was backup QB the he would have gotten game experience throughout the season and he possibly could have gotten in the game. had JL been unable to play then Mett being number two would have to play. Of course the obivious rantards will say if no JJ we would have lost to Bama in the first game. But not knowing how well or poorly Mett would have been when Lee was pulled. Unless the secret playbook is found don't look for Met on the field except with clipboard.

Everyone on this board that slams I B Freeman is a smart arse. I've been thinking the same thing, that Mett pops in for a play or two to air it out. REMEMBER, the Hat has been known to take a chance here and there!!!

Yes, I think bringing in a QB that didn't play a single SEC down in to the NC game against the #1 defense in the country makes a lot of sense.

Wonder how he would have done???

"I'm really excited, because on January 10th, it will be my team," Mettenberger said. "I'm looking to keep the momentum going to where we have another great year. The main thing for me will be to keep a level head."

We'll find out in the spring game. I'm sure you'll be shocked.
