Will Les do the right thing like Patterson, Stoops and Satan or is it his ego?

He missed out on a homerun hire with former TCU OC in 2011.

He has one-year to get this SH_T corrected.

I think Hanagriff has this right.
The Lesticles era ended in '08, when Miles realized that running a wide-open offense could cost him games, thereby costing him his job.
I think the Traffic Jam Offense era ends in '16, when Miles realized that running a 1980's Big Ten offense could cost him his job.
Time will tell.

Not a chance. He hasn't put his ego aside and done what's best for the team in the last five year, so now that he knows that he is un-fireable its pretty much impossible that he evolve with the college game. We fuct

Oh yeah... That happened.
*deep audible sigh*
Although he did take a HC position the next year.

Are you insinuating that you don't like our electric football traffic jam offense?

Miles actually talked to Sean McDermott as a potential DC before hiring chief. this is back when McDermott was a secondary coach in Philly. hes been the DC in Carolina for 4 years now.

I'm hoping Herman is holding out for that 2016 job offer.

According to whom?
A lot of people are assuming that he has some sort of ultimatum for next year, but I haven't heard Alleva or anyone one else in power say this.
I heard that he is the coach and that is all.
I have heard nothing that could lead someone to believe that his current contract (through 2019?) won't be honored.

Oh yeah, it's his ego. He prefers losing to winning bcause it's good for his ego. What a stupid frick you are.

The point you take away from his near firing is that he's unfireable? Jesus, posters keep getting stupider. How do we maintain a republic with these people voting?

Why do people act like Miles is untouchable now? As far as the media and fans go, we gave him one more year so there will not be the same negative press next time. He played the victim and I GUARANTEE that lost him some good will with administration. If he doesnt win any hardware this year he is gone! If anything he'll be easier to fire.

This is so rediculous. That ego created a perfect regular season in 2011.
That ego was a DEFENSIVE stop from beating BAMA in 2012. Regardless of any "CLM PLAYS" we had the lead we 90 seconds left. At that point it is ALL on the defense.
That ego wa an inbounds tackle away from beating BAMA in 2014. Again, when the offense gives you the led with a minute left is is on the DEFENSE.
The ego went run heavy to partly because it is his philosophy and party because of the mass exodus of defensive players.
I really do no think it is his ego that decides to not develop a QB capable of completing a basic 5 yard pass. Unfortunately, his pro-style offense requires QBs I the pipeline capable of learning while waiting their turn. We saw the results with METT in year 2. Unfortunately, QB attrition and QB inability to fully grasp the system has created the last 2 years.
Should CLM have thought about moving to a less complex system when the QB position thinned? ABSOLUTELY, but I don't really think it was ego.
Would I like to see a more balanced 2 dimensional offense....hell yes, but please look at shite objectively and each season is independent. Last season or last game does not dictate the present season or the next game.

He's already said that he's making no changes. There's some delusional people up in here

It is his damn EGO because he refused to change up the Friggin Offense. Did you not see the 2011 Championship Game in the Super Dome?
It was EMBARRASING. Check this out. The current Florida Coach - Jim McElwain said, when LSU put 8 in the box, they threw on First Down a lot. When LSU put 4 in the box, they ran the ball with Trent Richardson. He was a decoy for much of the game.
They attacked Tyran on Slant Routes. Mo Claiborne did not see one pass in his area. Satan and Kirby Smart were smart enough to reach outside of their comfort zone and consulted with an NFL former DC, Greg Wiilliams of the Saints on how to stop LSU's running attack.
LINK
Donte Hightower, ILB, said it worked perfectly. Les did not do a damn thing because he thought power running football was going to get him a win ala SEC Championship Game against GA. Remember this, LSU did not get a first down in the first half against GA.

Miles did not change the offense. That is his FRIGGING EGO. He did not seek advice or change his philosphy for the betterment of the team, and that is to WIN!
That is the point, AirborneTiger. Everything else is BS.

Miles will continue to be Miles, so expect similar results next year; that's all I can say...

He probably is doing that, but there is a good chance the UT and TAMU jobs will come open following 2016 season. I think staying in TX is his preference.

i threw up and my hands and decided i'm done with him. the offense aspect of the game has completely passed him by and he doesn't care. he got a standing ovation and was carried off the field.
