The line got blown up in November, too... Not following your logic..

When you read the article in the paper.. it sounds like Blackwell is saying that since the Natl Championship game he may have tried to call Miles.. maybe just to chat, but he can't reach him. Maybe he can't reach him cause.. as Blackwell said, Miles doesn't need him anymore so Miles ain't as concerned about calling him back. It is recruiting season so Miles ought to be a busy man.

So let me get this straight. We physically dominated every team this year INCLUDING Bama in the 4th quarter of the first game. we absolutely wore the frick out major top programs in the sec and other conferences on the road.
Then magically, somehow Bama comes out and dominates our team in the biggest game of the year and the whole team, including the enigmatic and want filled coach, fold like a cheap suit before halftime.
I hear ya, and to start with, I've read your posts and agree with your views on Miles' coaching style. More than anything, I'm aggravated that we didn't at least TRY something different. However, I think saying we dominated Bama in the 4th quarter of game 1 is a bit of a stretch. We rushed for 37 yds in the 4th quarter...half of them on a scramble by Jefferson. And yes, we had the big option run in OT, but i can't help thinking Bama was demoralized by that point, knowing the game was probably over even if we didn't gain a yard. In game 2, Bama shut down the one thing that worked in game 1. Other than that, our big plays were the long pass to Shep and Jefferson's scramble, both basically improvised plays. Thing is, and this is not a knock on our D, they played great...but I continue to say as good as our D was, Bama won game 2 more with its offensive tweaks. Think about it...if Bama uses their exact same game 1 offensive strategy in game 2, the game likely comes down to a few plays in the 4th quarter again, even as dogshit as our offense looked. The D did well to keep them out of the end zone, but their O went up and down the field and unlike game 1, they made the FGs this time. I think the Bama coaches knew with a slightly more agressive offensive game plan, they could get far enough ahead where they could then play it safe, therefore negating any Reid or Honeybadger type heroics...things that had turned around games for us against our toughest opponents.

This isn't the first player to have not heard from Miles since the NC game disaster. Yeah, I know he is busy recruiting but I'm not liking this whole situation and Miles' handling of it. From not running the offense they practiced, to never making adjustments or trying anything different, to not talking to several of the Seniors...not after the game or anytime since.
I'm not a Miles basher and like him, but something stinks here and I'm not liking him so much right now.

You'll never in a million years convince me that the only reason we lost the game was that our line got dominated. The complete look of fear and failure on their faces and their complete lack of fire BEFORE Bama had the chance to dominate them was striking.
We were beaten before we ever took the field. Something very sinister happened that night, and it wasn't just 'poor play'. Did our line get blown up? Yes. Was Bama being so good the reason? No. It was the same line from Nov. 5th. Did they suddenly forget how to play?
I ain't buying it.
So what do you think happened?

Right, that must be why Bama has the ball 3 mins longer, out gained LSU 80 yds to 50 yds, and had twice as many 1st downs in the 4th that us, huh...cause we physically dominated them.

Can't run, can't pass, QB holding the ball too long. Of course the O-Line got blown up.
We didn't have a one-dimensional offense that night, we had a NO-dimensional offense.
