While I agree with you that his issues are footwork and decision making (particularly footwork) you continually post the stupidest crap on the Rant. There's NO WAY of knowing what kind of NFL qb he would be, much less what kind of NFL prospect he would be. You can't base how good a qb is going to be in the NFL by his quick release; that's a HUGE plus but that's a small portion of it all. Hell, there are NFL QBs that have weird releases. See: Philip Rivers. What matters is that they win, they make all of the throws, and they are poised in the pocket.
JL has a great release, sure, and his footwork actually isn't terrible. But he has happy feet, he's nervous in the pocket, doesn't want to take a hit. He is also willing to throw the ball into tight coverage which gets picked off. He's not afraid to make the throws and he can make some good throws, but to say that he has the potential to be a top-10 NFL QB is just laughable.

JL doesn't take a hit well...it affects his game too much...JMHO

lulz.
Jarrett Lee isn't very good.
Jordan Jefferson is better than him. That's an unfortunate truth, but a truth nonetheless.
The sooner people accept this, the better.

I am glad to see all the support for JL. I really respect him for hanging in there through all the ups and downs . Imo it wouldnt be fair to keep him off the field this season. He may just be a very valuable asset to the team. Last season he came into games under pressure and really bailed us out. Hats off to Lee

Why you are wrong to count ON JL: his entire career minus one pass during the Auburn game. And that's a stretch for the kid.
Edit: NOT a JJ supporter. As far as I'm concerned, our QB options right now is like trying to find someone to vote for in the '08 election (I know it's not realistic to start Mett, so between JJ and JL)
This is the worst post I've seen in a long time. You should jump off of a bridge or something.

Krag has stated that installing the offense was his main concern

1) A fresh start in a Jarrett Lee-friendly sytle of offense, with a real offensive identity that serves his game well.
By all accounts from the spring so far, there has been no real 'fresh start' for the QBs. JJ was installed as the starter and will be until his heart stops beating or is severely injured. SK is working with the same base offense that we had last year. His job, it sounds like to me, is to simplify the reads/decision making and improve execution.
I've been a big JL supporter, but it does sound like JJ is making great strides under SK and JL is simply going to be a backup. Get used to it.

I agree with the OP on his point about finally having a coach that can work with our QBs.
However, this applies to both Lee and Jefferson. I think from a raw ability standpoint, Jefferson may offer more than Lee when one accounts for proper coaching.

I want to see Lee succeed.

JJ starts....Lee will save LSU for 2-3 wins.....JJ will start every game.....

As with every new OC, it will take at least two years to fully install the offense.

I don't think there is anyway LSU will chose to start 2012 as it did 2008...w/o one QB who had a single snap of game experience.
