Why wouldn't Maineri get Walker an MRI in Omaha?

Why wait until they get back to BR? If there's no damage and the kid feels "OK" again (no pain), why not let him throw a few innings on Sat or later if they go deeper in the tourney? Limit his pitch count.
I understand the concern for further injury but isn't that what the MRI is for? I know we don't have the full picture but...oh well, guess we'll never know. A little frustrating

Wouldn't it be some shite to see him on the bump Saturday and it throw Oregon state off.... highly unlikely tho

Guess you didn't read my post. He's a quality arm we could use soon. Did you not watch the shellacking our pitchers took the other day vs the Beavs?

He's done for the CWS according to Paul. So like I said, why does it fricking matter?

More like a walkathon than a shellacking. Dude's couldn't hit water if they fell out of boat.

Dude, if you take yourself out in the 3rd inning of a CWS game, you are done for the season.

I assume because the team doctors and trainers don't feel the situation warrants an immediate MRI. It can wait till next week apparently.

Well, getting the MRI results and consulting with Walker may change Maineri's mind, don't you think? That's my point

Best response yet. Makes sense, thanks Mick

missile, you are wrong, it's a bad thread, just apologize for wasting our time and admit you are wrong. Don't know why people can't admit they made a bad thread instead of just telling everyone they are retarded.

It doesn't matter what the MRI says, he's shut down.

Fair enough

How do you know that an MRI wasn't already done?
It's pretty damm obvious that twice in less than a week that he has soreness after throwing a number of pitches. It wasn't going to be heeled after a couple of days. There is no reason to risk him getting a more severe injury for a few innings.

Because he felt "ok" before he went three innings and it tightened up again. Even if there's no structural damage, there's obviously something wrong. Let's destroy our freshman pitcher's arm to get a few innings
