Eh
Anyone who is thinking pragmatically knows this is necessary to field a good team.
An FBI investigation into fricking shoe companies is a bit of a wild card. I would Even say not logical.
Like who thinks bribing a Yale rowing coach is going to get the FBI involved
If you think this was handled in the best possible way, fine. Most dont

If Wade truly refuses to talk to his bosses at his lawyer's advice, he is rightfully suspended. Anyone who says otherwise must not be an employer or is bad at overseeing his employees.
I'm a big Wade fan and do not hold a firm opinion about any of his potential indiscretions until all the evidence is out.
Sometimes, a situation is such that there are no good answers. Hopefully, in April, when the trial for Dawkins is set to occur, we will know more information ( Wade's side of the story).
Now, if there is no proof of Smart taking any money or improper benefits, I hope he is able to play in the postseason.

If he's reinstated, he waits for the first opportunity to jump ship elsewhere. The trust has been eroded.

Why the in the ever living frick would he want to return to this place? His own boss, compliance department, President of school, and BOS chairman all presumed his guilt before the trial ever took place.
With everything now coming out today from the Advocate to the public I don’t see why he would ever come back.
Always best practices to stand by your man until the facts come out on the witness stand given the gravity of the situation and its legal implications. I know LSU has cause to fire him for declining to meet but this isn't about what the legal rights are, it's about whether any high-profile coach will ever want to coach at LSU if this is how his bosses respond to a Yahoo report without any context, physical evidence, or link. For all we know, this could be a fake news report!

Look. This is crazy. I am a huge Wade fan, and really hope there is some way we can retain him. But LSU was his first big shot and it is not looking good in terms of what is going to happen with the ncaa and FBI over that time frame. I pray to god nothing comes of it and our admin screwed up and we keep wade. But, Everyone rationalizing any and everything possible so that Wade is the victim is childish.
