Totally agree.I’d love to get him, but unless there’s some “in house” stuff at UF that he’s tired of dealing with, I can’t see him leaving UF for LSU. At best it’s a lateral move to a similar program in a shithole town.

It just screams “over the top splash hire” a la Urban-to-Texas, Stoops-to-FSU, and Chip-to-UF football rumors. But at least all 3 of those names are/were retired and available.
I dunno man...before I get my hopes up I have to roll with occam’s razor here “usually the easiest explanation is the correct one” but I guess we’ll see

I'll bite, you ready?
1) more fan support, you obviously don't get it, but people in Gainesville don't give a shite about baseball and never have, even with all the success Sully has brought them, season ticket base and overall program excitement is absolutely shite, at LSU we sell out almost half our fricking stadium to season ticket holders on a BAD year, it's sad your that oblivious to this, but I'll gladly spell it out
2) more money, bc well, we care about baseball ALOT more than Gainesville and boosters will happily chip in to get a big name
3) more potential, when the LSU program is managed right, it can be THE premier program in college baseball
4)off the field issues, with the divorce and other things, a change of scenery could be in accords for Sully, i.e. jimbo Fisher at FSU

My neighbor lived and worked in Gainesville, FL for 6 years before he came to BR with his family in 2019. He says everything is cheaper in BR as compared to Gainesville.
