You asked a question and it was answered in the first 3 posts. You are a self proclaimed “non-expert in baseball” yet have spent the last 8 pages debating why you think you are right. COULD your way work out? Sure. It’s baseball. But in the post season you do everything possible to stay in the winners bracket. After the first 2 innings I am extremely glad we started Jump. We need a strike thrower who can take the outs when they want to give them. They are already manufacturing runs and look to be very good at it. Free passes against this team would not be good.

Well, I am certainly glad Johnson went with Jump today. It was always about the percentages. I expected LSU to put up more than 4 runs today. They didn’t, but Jump gave them enough to get it done. I’m still not at all thrilled with the prospect of having to beat UNC at least once with the pen, but if they can get the win tomorrow at least Wofford will have one of their top pitchers waiting for them in the losers’ bracket.
