The field was a little slick from what I remember. He didn't get as much of a burst as he had all year running the ball. I remember thinking that it would hurt Oregon more however.

but he ran wild on LSU?

Cam vs. Oregon - 329 total yards

Cam vs. LSU - 303 total yards

Maybe the OP is confused...

He was having some serious back problems in the game, but I only recall them mentioning it during the final quarter. Otherwise I guess they just prepared like almost champs for him.

John Boyett was flying into Newton and for some reason Newton turned backwards as he started to go down and got nailed in the lower back. That wasn't until late 3rd early 4th though. I think the biggest thing was Oregon was able to get a lot of pressure on Newton due to the speed at LB.

As I said, check the stat line of the NC game to see how many times Auburn passed the ball versus how many times Auburn passed the ball against their regular season competition.

Oregon did not stop Cam. Malzahn stopped Cam with his dumbass play calling until the 4th quarter.

It's much more likely that they passed because running was ineffective.

We tackled Cam, just not Dyer.
