Let's go with your first example. Jay Ward played in every game as a Freshmen next to:

Jacoby Stevens- Jr
Todd Harris Jr
Kary Vincent JR
Grant Delpit JR
Kristian Fulton SR
Derek Stingley Super Freak


That is what this whole post is about. It's about roster building. I never said DB's don't play until year 3. I said it usually takes two years to get to that peak development stage.


When you are able to stack recruiting classes, this is what you get. Because that is always the plan. You can hide and break in younger players much easier. So maybe in a year or two LSU will have guys again that can be the next NFL guys. And are able to appropriately break-in younger players.
