How does a QB get experience by holding a clipboard?

By preparing and practicing and and learning from other quarterbacks

Especially when LSU is already starting true freshmen at the offensive tackles and tight end.

What does this have to do with what QB gives us the best chance to win?

Walker Howard is, by all accounts, the best QB on the team.

He has never thrown a single pass in a college gme and you are saying this. Think about that.

What’s the point in saving Howard’s redshirt when he’s going to start the next 2 years?

You don't know who is going to start next year, and even if he does, why wouldn't you want him to start for the next 3 or 4 years?

I am tired of watching QB’s who were highly rated in high school come to LSU and then look like they’ve never passed the football.

I hate to break it to you, but this is probably what Walker would look like if we threw him in there.

major injury,

I wouldn't call it a major injury...the dude played 2 weeks later while still in high school. Had the scholarship in the bag, and could have mailed his senior season in, but he has a warrior's spirit and wanted to play with his team. I can totally dig that attitude.

The staff knows this season was always going to be a throw away season, they want to Redshirt him, so his job is to put on some muscle, learn the offense, and be ready to compete in his second season.

All of that is going according to plan.

Saban and Kiffin don’t mind playing true freshman QB’s.

The other pieces around them are in a better position than we are right now. If we were in a better position with other positions, I think BK considers playing him. With such a young offensive line, and Daniels having a better ability to protect himself with his legs, keeping RS on Howard makes sense.

Also, played against Southern and has been dressed out all 5 games. So, the injury alibi is false.

He also finished by playing the last 4 HS games of his senior season after the leg injury. All this talk about injury is BS.
