I agree, play him somewhere else. What about next year when, if we do after this season, get that kid from Houston. What is JJ going to do then, Lee, Hatch,JJ and the kid for Texas.

the coaches seem to be afraid that j.j. throws a pick 6 at a crucial time in a game.

I don't buy this "doesn't know the playbook" crap. Teach him 5 plays...run them right and left, now we're up to 10 plays. That should be enough for a few snaps.

bullshite. If they were afraid of that Lee wouldn't see the field.

what makes you assume he knows the option? If you saw him play in high school, you'd know that's not what he ran.

what makes everyone assume he's dumb.
you haven't seem him play a meaningful down in college this year.
it can't be that hard to hand it off, and when they ask you to throw it, just stare down whoever they tell you to throw it too and, here's the kicker, either throw it to him OR RUN!

JJ doesn't have to know the whole god damned playbook.

3-4 plays is fine.

because LSU fans see a black QB and assume he's dumb.

which is extremely ignorant.

If that is the case, then shame on the coaches. They knew that he may need to be ready and has to get the kid ready to play. If he can't learn, then I think we need to hire a qb coach. Crowton can't run the offense and take care of the qb.

Also, did they not know this when they recruited him?

i didnt' think Rohan was dumb.

and throwing pick 6's and not having the capability to make any logical desicions when dropping back to pass sounds pretty dumb to me.

the smartest thing i saw lee do was take that sack inside the redzone. he was smart to not throw it into triple coverage and took the sack.

the smartest thing I saw him do was throw a pretty ball to a open byrd for a TD.

Miles I beg of you to give JJ a chance.
I honestly can't imagine that there are f'ing ZERO plays that JJ knows how to run. That is the dumbest thing ever. What the hell has he been doing at practice while apparently everyone is learning?
Once again, I'm sure Lee knows the play book waaaay better. But JJ is a MUCH better athlete. Hell, tell him the play and what to do and send him in for a snap here and there. Do whatever it takes to get him some PT because as it stands, if Lee was to get hurt, who would start then?

Oh yeah, and PLEASE will everyone on here stop acting like JJ has NEVER played FOOTBALL in his life.

I'm almost up for putting a f'ing fan in instead of Lee. At least then I could accept a piss-poor performance. Lee knows all the plays but its no help if he can't execute them. What's the benefit in that? And why is it that our True Frosh is totally clueless on the playbook but Pryor is f'ing starting and seems to be doing fine with his knowledge of their playbook? Maybe its a coaching problem.

that was more a good throw than being smart in the way i'm talking.
but it was a beautiful throw, so was the one to c. mitchell.
i still don't understand why they dont' throw deep into single coverage more.
if the WR drop it, we get mad at them, not Lee. and we know we have other WR if some dont' want to catch the damn ball.

No more than I assume he can run the option just because he is black. DHS played more of a pro-style attack in their games I saw last year. He is NOT a running QB, just more mobile that two-left foot Lee.

which is extremely ignorant.

Agreed

ex: Jamarcus Russell (who was a GREAT QB for LSU)

Jamarcus did not have a good command of the playbook initially either-why else would shorty play Marcus Randall over him? The differences are that (a) his bad passes were almost always in the dirt, therefore not intercepted, (b) he was almost impossible to bring down because of his size and strength, leaving more time for receivers to ad-lib and break free and (c) had such a rocket arm, he could gun passes into small holes once the ad-lib started (see Early Doucet pass to win the Arizona State game rolling the wrong way). His inability to read a defense was masked by his incredible skills, something that is now biting him in the arse in the NFL.

im mean im a pretty big Lee hater but why would i want our offense to be able to run 3-4 plays.

that would be the worst offense in the country
