Miles has lost fan support over the period of the last two seasons, not just the last season.
He has lost the support of the stupid. That hardly counts. And, as I have stated many times, the opinions of those stupid sacks of shite on this board mean less than zero to anyone who matters at LSU.

Sonnyboy I am TAF and while not the largest donor, I am in for pretty good money. Let me tell you right now that TAF FULLY supports Coach Miles. You can yap all the "I heard froms" and "I have a buddy in TAF" all you want to. It is, in a word, bullshite.

And just because you state that he has like it's a fact doesnt make it true. Again, i listen to alot of sports radio and watch alot college football showw and i havent once heard anything about LSU wanting Miles out.
I don't think he is on the hot seat as far as LSU is concerned.
I want him to stay. I don't think like many others here that you could stick anyone as head coach of LSU and win 10 games a year.
I 100% feel that most of the fans have turned against him. Many of them will comeback after the bowl game should we win. After Ole Miss, he lost me for a couple of days, but after I calmed down, I stopped wanting him fired.
It isn't just mindless losers on the net that hate him. Almost every LSU fan I know hates him. All my tried and true LSU family is sick of him. And every person sitting around me in sec 414 is sick of him. So it isn't exactly a reach to say that most of the fans have turned against him.
quote:Two things are wrong with this. First, you are not reading my posts because if you did, you would know that I consider myself in the minority of fans who haven't turned on him.
Don't you think that if this was the opinion of the majority there would atleast some mention of it somewhere?
I know it makes you feel better to think that you're in the majority, but according to the national media, you're not.
Secondly, what media have you been reading/listening to? Certainly not local sportswriters, internet sportswriters, or ESPN anchors. They were making fun of him all week. And spoke frequently about his relationship with the fans after the Ole Miss game.

A sophmore qb ..you mean like arky has? No its not about players its about coaching them to be great players. With crowten its like we have jr high players on the field. They dont know assignments or plays. The qb is dared to throw to a second reciever and dont dare throw an interception. When they put in a half back its like signaling across the field that we are now going to run up the middle or to the side the hb on.Its not that most people dont like miles its we dont like the fact he doesnt fix whats wrong. The saints had a offencive coach that the fans just didnt like, but the head coach insisted he wasnt the problem and it wound up costing him his job

What...you just can't let it go with me, huh.
I get it...Miles has "lost" the LSU fans and your family and the people you know "hate" him.
Great...knock yourselves out.
I hate drunk drivers, those who pry on the weak, those who abuse children and woman, and seeing young people die before their time, but each to our own.

The ones who do not support Miles and want him fired? Yes, they are stupid. Pathetically so. And like I said, "fans" like that don't count. They and their opinions are complete shite.

This is all a little redundant, and by the way, are you TAF?

Not powerful at all. Just a member in good standing who was there at the founding of TAF and has been there since.
Who in the blue hell is Mr. Burns?

I heard a LSU fan, well that's what he called himself, on the radio last weekend. The man actually said that he was pulling for LSU to lose to Arkansas cause he thought it would lead to Miles' departure. Can you believe that??
Let me tell you, I wouldn't want some of these LSU "fans" to be watching my back in a tough spot.
Of course, some of these guys are just trolls and don't give a crap bout LSU.

No matter how well LSU does, not winning the SEC or getting into a BCS game in the next couple of years will seal his doom. In the days of the BCS, 3 losses are no longer good enough. Getting paid the big bucks to make a BCS payday.

I can buy that approach, but not the one having him on the hot seat or all LSU fans wanting him gone. That's just completely over the top at this point in time.
No doubt next season is very important to Coach Miles. Personally, I think a JJ with a bowl season this yr, off season workouts, spring football, and fall practice should be much better. Perhaps that's wishful thinking, but I believe him to be our best option at this time.
I understand that we pay Coach too much money for him to come in 3rd in the SEC and I would think he understands that as well. We improved in 09 and we need to improve in 10.
Maybe we will and maybe we won't. I don't know for sure and neither does anyone else. We had some LSU people telling us a couple yrs ago that our baseball hire was a mistake as well. We all know how that worked out.

...I'll say this once, and I'm out :
...Miles is not - repeat, NOT - on the proverbial "hot seat" .
( In a couple years, maybe. Now? Nada...)

Les Miles is the only coach in the list who took over a successful program
Not so fast my friend. Urban Meyer took over a UF team that although they were 7-5 in 2004 they were stocked with #2 recruiting class in 2002 and #7 class in 2003. Hardly an unsuccessful or declining program.

Why Miles is on the hot seat
I didn't read your wall of text but Miles is on the hot seat because our team is 9-3 despite him being our coach, not the other way around. For you not to understand probably means you don't know much about football.
When you played how smart was your coach?
How many LSU practices have you attended?

I'd say between last year and this year, yes. We are in the middle of the pack in the SEC west along with Ole Miss and Arkansas.
Last two years
Alabama 16-1 conference record
Ole Miss 9-7 conference record
LSU 8-8 conference record
Arkansas 6-10
Auburn 5-11
Mississippi St. 5-11
alajones, how dare you actually use logic to make your points. The "Miles Lovers" on here dont see this. They just take what Miles give them and run with it. If he says the team is darn good it is darn good, etc, etc.
Ok,since you like logic. Tigers have had two first yr,young QBs starting for them. Bama had more experienced QBs and Snead was the better QB in both games against LSU. Against Bama this yr LSU lost QB,RB,and best def player. Had Bama been the team with the injuries,LSU would be 2-1 was Saban. Of course you flute players would be making excuses for Saban's loss.Let Tebow get booted from Florida and RP stay,I think Tigers win this year.Ya'll would then give Meyer the excuse that he lost while failing to give Miles the credit due for playing shorhanded.
