I'd like a piece of this action

7-5 with a third year qb will not make it through next year.

He will fire his DC, OC in back to back seasons and the excuses will run out.

Choctaw is like the UGA fan that thinks Mark Richt is a good coach.

UGA nor LSU will go anywhere in the FUTURE while Saban (LSU's main competiton) & Meyer (UGA's main competion) stay in their current position. They are simply better coaches.

That doesn't mean we can't beat them from time to time, but they will always prevail over those two guys.

It's just that easy....

I didn't read your wall of text but Miles is on the hot seat because our team is 9-3 despite him being our coach, not the other way around. For you not to understand probably means you don't know much about football.

You got it wrong sonnyboy. For anyone to state that a coach is on the hot seat with Miles record and accomplishments shows THAT person not only "don't know much about football" it shows that they know NOTHING about football.
For anyone to think that "anyone" could coach this team to a better record shows extreme stupidity sonnyboy.

IF that heat is coming from the AD then you can call it a hot seat. If it comes from zeros like the ones here on this board, it isn't a hot seat. It's hot air. Hot, stupid air sonnyboy.

Richt took over a successful program

+1. Florida and 'Bama were stocked with talent as well. Meyer and Saban followed good recruiters who just typically could not strategize sucessuflly on game day against quality teams.

As another poster said, Mile's biggest problem right now is Saban. Saban is just a better coach and it has taken everyone on this board a few years to accept it.

Also, Urban also seems to be a better coach. As long as we play against those two teams every year with better coaches than us, we will not have much chance of winning it all.

Most LSU fans did not want to see us slip from the top of the SEC and the top of the SEC West. We have. Now we are just trying not to fall into SEC West mediocrity. This is why Miles has lost most fans. Because we have gone from the top of the SEC, to the middle of the SEC west. And as long as Saban and Urban are playing us twice a year, we may never get out of the role of second fiddle.

Gee, where to begin.

Miles has not lost most fans. Most fans don't come here and most fans are willing to see what happens before giving up and running to hide from big, bad Fla and Bama.

We finished 2nd in the west and 3rd in the SEC. I don't see that as the middle of anything.

Nick is a good coach, but I haven't seen anything in our 3 games against him that would lead to believe that we can't win our fair share of games against him.

Neither does Pete Carrol or Tressel...i guess that means they have no cred either.

No doubt Saban's success is Miles bigger problem. It has more to do with LSU fans than with either Miles or Saban. LSU fans are just wistful and wishful for Saban's current record. Saban left LSU on his own and on good terms. He's working with another program, unfortunately in the same conference as LSU. LSU fan's should realize that Saban does not belong to them. He is now a coach at Alabama. It's academic to argue if Saban would be 12-0 at LSU. If you sized up Saban with his 2002 or 2004 record, you'd not expect him to go 12-0 at Bama. But he did. It's time for LSU fans 'to move on'.

About Saban being a better coach .. that's a perception you choose to believe in. He has a better record now. He was vilified as a coach who could not beat Tubby on the plains or that his teams started traditionally slowly. Things are certainly different the last two seasons.

Of course, what have you done for me lately? Saban wins on that count.

1-3 vs. Meyer

You really want to argue whether or not Miles is a better coach than Saban or Meyer?

ETA- Oops 2-3 vs Meyer, my bad!!!

Touche', but my comment was not meant to compliment either coach. they are both equally bad, one just speaks better.

Nice deflection. We're not talking about those coaches and I don't care about them one iota. Tressel is Mr. Rogers on a football sideline and a joke. If you honestly think Pete Carrrol couldn't get a job at almost any CFB program in the country, then you are about as delusional as most of your posts suggest.
