Because UK is UK
and because the Fla AD actually did his homework and hired a New Orleans native to lead the program from LA Tech instead of letting the good ole boy network dictate to him who to hire after making a disastrous hire in Trent JOhnson before.
ALleva is the problem!

Shitty coaches for the most part.

it started happening about 10 years ago.
basketball became a dying sport. now everyone focuses on football and baseball in louisiana. the best football guys like jake delhomme, and kevin faulk used to play basketball as well. now they focus on one sport.
it is sad but basketball at the high school level isnt nearly what it was 20 years ago.

Alabama will be good in basketball soon. New Orleans native, went to college in Baton Rouge, played in the NBA, coached in the NBA, made a NBA Finals...
LSU never looked his way.
