LSU finished ranked #8 last season. Second in the SEC, behind only #1 ranked Auburn.

The the lofty expectations for LSU by a lot in the media is causing it really.

Look at Richardsons coverage vs. Kniles Davis, the more likely a team is to be a legit NC contender the more we get to read about their glamour positions.
JJ and Richardson are getting 100x the coverage than that of Justin Blackmon

Guy needs to find better leadership skills IMO.

You can't find or teach leadership. You either have it or you don't.

Nobody has a problem with JJ getting better, it's just that every Spring and Fall all the card carrying members of the "National Association for the Advancement of Jordan Jefferson" spew out this wretched excess pablum about how he's so "New and Improved", then the season starts and harsh reality sets in for Tiger fans.

The only hope for any improvement is strictly up to what Kragthorpe can do with him. Work a little with mechanics and make the offense "Malzahn-Newton" simple.

b/c all JJ has done is talk. Not only that... the things he says doesn't exactly coinside with what you want to hear from a position such as your qb.

He would amaze himself if he would just let good play on the field be his words and keep his mouth shut the rest of the time.

I have a feeling we will find out during halftime of Miss State game if he will continue to be the starter or not....He will do good up until that game, IF he hasn't dramatically improved, we will likely be losing at halftime....

it isn't. The only thing with him that I am concerned about is how he handles the pressure. The last 2 seasons, he has shown over many times, signs of frustration and literlly "pouted" on the sidelines when he was taken out for a series. he definitely didn't want to see JL do well as you can tell from his body language.
I want him to be a leader. If his play is poor, I want him to step up like Tim Tebow did when they lost, guaranteeing that it wouldn't happen again.
THAT is what i want to see out of him.

I am a true Lsu fan, but until jj improves i cant be a sunshine pumper like half of the folks on this rant. I attended LSU & had family play football there, but the truth will set u free. I hope jj becomes Brady this season but I am going to wait & see.

I will reserve my judgement until I actually see them play. However, I will say I expect to see the same JJ. His strange decisions are what hinders him IMO. Not physical skills,

I wish him the set, and if I was the coach, I would start him. But I would have a pretty quick trigger. The QB platoon worked pretty good last year. We may need it again.

at of ALL this fighting over who should start. NONE of the qbs in the spring game really out performed JJ to say the least. Not enough to say he shouldnt be the starter going in. Also i think JJ can improve and will improve. I dont like this thing if u like one guy u have to hate the other. its silly. they all where purple and gold and should be supported. Im glad JJ has some confidence cuz i kno the talks and booos from the crowd affected a man. NONE of you have to deal with pressure like that, so kudos to miles staying behind his QB

So question for you Smitty should LSU continue to start all players who perform poorly for an entire season? JJ was the 11th ranked out of 12 qb's so by that standard should Miles stick by and continue starting any player who is at least one better than the worst player in the conference at his position? If not why is the JJ held to different standards than the other players?

Give CLM a break. Unlike you, he has to go by first hand knowledge and visual evidence to determine the starting QB.
What sticks in your craw is JJ was one better than the worst QBs on the LSU Football Team.

I would be more than happy to bet you that if Mett is the starting qb for at least half the season he would finish significantly better than the 11th best qb in the conference. Same for Lee!

give it up Rudy, Lee has had plenty of opportunities to prove himself here at LSU and keeps coming in second to the "11th worst QB in the SEC"

one last chance for all the JJ haters to get on board the JJ express before the train leaves the station. Get on board now, get a good seat, and enjoy the ride, it's going to be a wild ride!
