I am a fit non- geeky student here. i sit in the student section. It's not that bad, just a few really loud dorks.

i sit down there and its not nearly as bad as you guys make it out to be. only thing i dont like is the baskets block a good chunk of the court

Who is it that the team goes to directly after the game? Those guys. Also those guys only take up maybe 1/4 of that section so just sit in another part of the bleacher section, like on the left next to the cheerleaders and band.

I remember mentioning a while back that they need to make the bleachers go all the way to the top of the SS. The main cause of the diversity is the fact that there are separate parts of the student section.
If the student section were all one massive section of bleachers, instead of two separate sections, then it would be harder to distinguish between the "cool" kids and the dorks.
Main point of this is that the student section is horribly set up. Yes, I understand the reasoning of why they got moved behind the goal, but holy frick they completely shite the bed on the design. The media section being right there is beyond stupid as well.

Decided to try out the up close bleacher seats the first home game this season...
Was greeted by some some dude dressed up complete with a fricking boom box on his shoulder ATTEMPTING to dance like Michael Jackson by moon walking and pelvic thrusting his way back and forth in front of my seat...
Needless to say that was the last time I ventured down there.

Hahaha...that sounds pretty aggravating, but I got to give the dude an A for commitment (commitment to what, I'm not exactly sure, but it sounds like he went for it).
The more I read, the more I'm starting to think the lower section dudes may just be mental. You always need a few mental patients to build a solid fan following. They're very loyal.
