Had a chance to talk to the Director of Player Personnel for the Chargers this past weekend at the Tulsa-UCA game. Asked him about Hester and he said they were very pleased with Hester's progress. Said special teams is his specialty right now but hoped to get him more carries in the backfield in the future.

Although he's white, slow and persistant; he hasn't quite yet convinced the coaches that he doesn't fumble, loves "the real Elvis" and loves God. Once he convinces his superiors of this, he will get more p.t. Word.....

Why do some of you to expect an NFL team to start a rookie?

Matt Forte starts for the bears
stewart gets minutes with panthers
ray rice gets minutes with the ravens
steve slaton gets minutes with the texans
darren mcfadden starts with the raiders
felix jones gets minutes with the cowboys

If you have talent to see the field, you will see the field.

Because he is a fullback...why would they start a rookie fullback. Remember he was a fullback converted tailback in the NCAA. He plays in the NFL now...BTW he starts on kickoff coverage.

he's played mainly running back for them in preseason and thats where they plan on using him IMO
