The Yankees beat the Pirates on a routine basis for a reason, they dont always have the best coach. Better players mean better results. Period.

Apples to oranges.

Coaching in college has WAY more effect on a game than in the pros. Also, baseball is a completely different sport where overall coaching has much less effect than in basketball.

This is foolish. I’ve seen lots of guys hired some of whom didn’t work out. I’ve seen them usually given every opportunity to turn it around, but eventually they are let go. Why would you think Woodward is any different?
