Would love to watch a game with him while kicking back a good whiskey. Would be a blast.

Hopefully you get that chance on a Saturday in the very near future

You want Miles fired?
Now or after the season?

He's not good with timeouts but of all the things to point to it boggles my mind that anyone cares about that last TO. There's like 20threads on TOs as if clock management is what lost this game.

josh henson single handedly conserved us about 4 timeouts between 2005-2006. once he bolted les' time management got worse. the mad hatter needs to figure out who the frick the white rabbit on the staff is and take his damn clock.

Its no secret les has had his problems. But to think he's the only coach is foolish. I don't watch other teams so I can't pull out when other coaches botch the clock.

But Patterson did it in the opener. Saban has done it at lsu, the arky game in 02 comes to mind. So not all coaches are immune. Again I don't watch other teams especially if LSU is playing so I can't pin point every timea coach has screwed up.

yeah, coaches screw up. but with the frequency and latitude as Miles? no way.

I heard Les once called a timeout with 2 minutes left in the game because the clock didn't stop at the 2 minute warning

After being told the rules in college he did the same thing in the next game.

this is the type of situation where his goofy perception puts him further on the spot, right or wrong. if he didn't act like a doofus so much, people wouldn't give him so much crud all the time.

and it obviously isn't the first time he has either completely fricked up or flirted with disaster when it comes to managing time, so that is another reason.

I'm just wondering what kind of lives do you all have that you all have such vivid (yet pathetic) memories about TIME OUTS called or not called 8 years ago....I think this fact speaks volumes about some of our fans--and it isn't flattering.

2010 Tenn was pretty damn bad too with us trying to substitute with a running clock

Easy to overlook because it ended up being a win.

Fact is, it was only an LSU win because Derek Dooley basically out-Milesed Miles.

The failure to call a TO didn't necessarily cost us the game. Nobody knows what might've happened had he done so,

But it dredged up and put the spotlight on all of Les' past misadventures in clock management.

Do you know the difference between the word "to" and "too"?

The mismanaged TO didn't cost us the game as much as Mett's picks and the defenses 3rd and long ineptness did. Yet it is worrisome that Miles keeps making the same mistakes in time management. Even a flatworm has been show to be able to learn but Mile's learning curve is flat when it comes to managing a clock. Any parent who saw his child or any business employer who saw an employee make the same mistake repeatedly would justifiably be alarmed. Why he can't solve this is baffling and infuriating. Hell, I think he could get any one of a 1000 volunteers from TR to stand on the sideline and advise him about the clock, and would get better results.

11-5 in the last 16 ain't too hot.

1-3 in the last 4.

Relevant as a weekly let's laugh at what Miles did segment.

Yep.

Wow...that was devastating.

We won in 2007 against Aubbie, but it was only because Byrd made a miracle catch... Had he missed there wouldn't have been time for a field goal. I would include it as well.

He approaches the game as a fan as much as a coach. Gets caught up in the "game" and loses attention to detail and focus.

Huh? Wow, that's an expensive price to pay for a fan at 4.3 million a year.

LSU will win 80% of their games. Don't expect more, and don't ever expect to beat Bama.

To be fair we beat Bama pretty regularly

Enough talent to beat Bama, but not enough coach to have his team show up like it needs to every game. Or enough coach to have a clue how to manage the clock like even a middle school coach could.
