Tomorrow Arkansas and Auburn is at 5pm and they have the LSU game to start at 8pm. You know damn well an SEC game is never 3 hours long especially a ESPN game. We will be lucky if the Arkansas game ends at 8:45pm. At least do what CBS does and make games a 3 1/2 hour time window.

Issue is if the game runs long the next game is often bumped to another network and if all the ESPN networks are showing games then it watch ESPN in the meantime.

I the past is was not so bad but now they have games on ESPN U and News all day. Only saving grace for SEC games is they can always move the game temp. to a SEC network alt channel if needed.

College football enabled ESPN to too much power, so we just have to accept whatever Mickey Mouse says.

Unless of course you are attempting to record the game because you are incapable of watching it live. Not at house and shifted to another channel means dvr recording is incomplete.

Or you could just record whatever is on each of the ESPN channels for the duration of the game. It's going to be on an ESPN channel regardless.

It's a big deal if you have set a dvr timer and the game gets moved to different channels.

Easy fix dude. Just record ESPNews and ESPNU from 8:00 to 8:45 or so.

It's no big deal to set up programming like this in football. It rarely pushes another game's start time. They typically either start the game on another network or sometimes the local market trumps the existing game and it will just switch to the new game. This is more of a problem like at the SEC Baseball Tournament, where all of the games are played on the same field.

Set the DVR for both channels ESPN and whatever other ESPN network the game starts on. Does your TV provider have an app that allows you to set DVR from your phone? I know AT&T Uverse has an app with that capability, can't speak for other providers.
