Why do we not throw the ball around after strikeouts

I know the previous 2 seasons was because of covid but I could've sworn we started this season off throwing it around again.
I wish we would do this again. It gives everyone a little pep and a little swag and catchers love firing it to someone after a K.
Yeah yeah I know but we will throw it into the outfield if we do that cause we can't make accurate throws

Because the shortstop can’t catch!

If I was the coach I would be scared they would make an error.

They need to bring back "hey batter batter swing."

Kelly answered this on Hunt and Hill this week.
not really a pace of play thing but to keep the infield ready

Can he just fire it to second and get the runner?

I love nights like this, where the miserable fricks have to stop to these levels to meet their bitching quota.

Even when it's done, from Little League to MLB, it's not done when there are runners on base.

Wasn't bitching about anything. I was genuinely curious as to why we stopped doing it and there was a link provided with the answer from Jason Kelly. So obviously others were curious as well.

He can catch, he just can't throw

Because there is usually someone on basr

Because Thompson would throw the ball in to right field.
