I commend Orgeron for cutting ties with Peveto. That said, you hire someone else to replace him. Why do we not have one? Our special teams play have been horrendous and have cost us games.

Didn’t Greg Mcmahon accept the job a while back? The former Saints special teams coach...

It's all part of a conspiracy launched by F.King and Alleva to sabotage the football program and make academics the priority at LSU.

McMahaon and Bobby April were consultants this offseason but were not full time coaches.

I think O hired Pete Jenkins in lieu of a special teams coach.

He's a consultant as of now. When we get another coach granted by the NCAA, he'll probably get the gig.

Which is awful, because he's an absolutely atrocious special teams coach.

I’d like to know the real reason why we don’t have one.

Because Orgeron doesn’t coach a position group. We had 4 coaches coaching the dline and linebackers. O, Jenkins, Meatball and DA.

Of course he is!!! because anything Coach O touches in terrible!!

I think any other college team would kill for a 10 year NFL special teams coach who has a super bowl under his belt.

Or Bobby April Sr who also consulted. He was only 2x NFL special teams coach of the years. What bums!

I would take him for sure and be happy about it. April is a much better ST coach and has coached and recruited at major college programs like Ohio State and USC.

McMahon was so bad for the Saints. There are lots of coaches with 10 years NFL experience that are still really terrible. Its actually pretty mind-blowing how that good ole boy network in the NFL keeps their friends employed when they definitely shouldn't be.

And I was very pumped about O's OL coach hire and hiring of Tommie Robinson. And happy about Canada when he was hired.

So I've actually liked a majority of Orgeron's hires.

Baw, special teams coach at the college level is about as low on the totem pole as you can get. If you can have a 10 year NFL veteran with a super bowl under his belt coach that unit, you take it and be happy with it.

He was a bad special teams coach for the Saints. Like, really bad.

And we have no idea how he is as a recruiter. Where is the value add?

things got bad at the end of his tenure but he wasn't bad the whole time.

Because Orgeron wanted Pete Jenkins on staff, despite being a D-Line coach himself.

To be completely fair, Greg McMahon is on the shadow staff and a "special teams consultant".

O playing the home boy game again though. He and McMahon were on staff together when he was with the Saints.

No spots unless you fire a coach already on staff. Who would you have let go?
