Auburn is already good. No one is disputing that. But it is not in the best interests of the LSU football team in 2011 for Auburn to win. Therefore, I want Oregon to win.
Your post is spot on and why I do hope Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Miss State, etc. all win their bowl games. But no way in hell do I want Auburn to win the MNC. No fricking way.

Either is OK. I'd like to see the Aubies win to keep the NC with the SEC.
On the other hand, I'd like to see the duckies win so LSU can start the season off in 2011 by absolutely pounding the duck crap out of the reigning national champs...then later in the season pound the warchicken crap out of those camzilla-less barners in Death Valley! Booyah!

This is so marginally beneficial to LSU. But Chizik being able to recruit as a national championship winning coach is not good for us.

Simple because we hate every fiber of their cheating assed being. I would rrot for the Taliban before I'd root for those bastards. Not to mention, if they win it this year they will have something we don't, an undefeated national championship in the new decade. I hate the way scam smiles. I hate the way Jizzik screams. I hate they way the fans wave those fig poms. I hate the way the town smells. I hate the whole freaking state! Oregon can't possibly beat them by enough points.

Because I hate Auburn, and I don't see myself changing that opinion anytime soon.
The SEC won't become a second-tier conference if AU loses. If a SEC team is undefeated next season, I'll be shocked if they are not in the national title game.
And Donald Duck is my favorite Disney character.

I'm not a huge fan of Florida or Bama of course, but once they made it to the BCSNCG I've rooted for the conference because I felt like it. Florida is in the East, so it's not too hard for me to hope they win the NCG ... once they get there. Hearing all the arguments this year about how an SEC win strengthens the conference and helps SEC teams out in the future with SOS and poll numbers I still only need to think about Cam grinning at opposing fans or Auburn players stomping on the eye and I'm through with it. Ducks all the way, and let's hope Miles brings a damn strong football team to beat BOTH of 'em next year.

RE:Totally agree. What is going to be so funny, is when Cam goes pro and he starts telling everyone how he pulled one over on Auburn. He is so full of himself that he will have to brag about what they did. He will make the NCAA and Auburn both look like fools, but they will get by with it, but the rest of us won't let them forget it.

The bottom line is, I'll root for who I feel like. Whether I cheer for Auburn or Oregon LSU still needs to win games next year to make it to the title. SEC dominates. Any team who makes it through the SEC schedule unscathed next year will be in the Nat'l title picture, and an Oregon win won't change that fact. So I'll cheer for the team I hope wins. I want Auburn to lose badly and I want to see plenty of interviews of Cam afterward.

I want to hear Chizik telling reporters that "Oregon just came to play," and "we just didn't play our game." etc., etc. And I want to see shots of Cam's mom in the stands. I want Auburn to lose and THEN get slammed by the NCAA.
