If Florida keeps a good coach then being the dominant power is dependent on someone breathing some life into FSU or tha U(On a national scale).
However there is no reason LSU can't compete with Bama or exceed them. Our recruiting situation is as good if not better. Both schools have plenty of money to hire good coaches/assistants, etc. etc.
I agree with this. I simply said I don't think we can be the dominant power. We can definitely equal them. I think Miles is good enough that as long as we get our recruits, he's going to compete (more than a "want" to do so). If we change coaches, it could turn out very badly. It could work for the better, but I'm going with the bird in the hand for now. If 2010 looks like 2008-09, the sequel, then I'm betting I'll feel differently.

Tiger fans who are content with mediocrity and fail to see what's in front of their face. Much like Lou Tepper was a failure in the making for quite some time, but DiNardo refused to fire him and accept the fact that our D would suck as long as he was here.
Those would be Lou Tepper supporters. Weren't many at the time. I definately don't fall into that catagory. Sorry.
Also can you tell us when Winnning 10+ games per season became Mediocrity?

After about the middle of this season, when we failed to even score a TD on Florida, the LSU NC talk ceased to exist.
Completely false. For the Bama game the media was talking about how LSU controlled it's own destiny as far as the BCS title.

"our recruits" are the ones playing interior OLine right now.

We lose our best two RBs, best WR, TE, LT, 3 big contributors on the DL, 3/4 LBs, 1 S, and 1 CB.....
Just saying.

Who that you foresee to be available this season would? And do you honestly think he deserves to be fired? That wouldn't be a very good message to send to recruits or to your potential new coach.

He doesn't motivate the team(Lol Troy 08, La Tech 09)
Neither does losing tough, hard fought games against a rival who just so happens to be ranked at the top of the polls and also has the school's old coach on the sideline that your current coach still lives in the shadow of. And someone clearly motivated the team to come back after being down 28 against Troy. Who did that?
IF there is no change on offense next year, and there is another bad year like '08, there definitely needs to be more serious talk about Miles and the program's direction under him. Until then...

We'll be a mediocre 2-4 loss teams while Miles is here.
2 losses is not mediocre, generally speaking. 3-4 losses, definitely.
When I say "generally speaking", I mean that even if we'd beaten Ole Miss, our 6-2 would not have been the kind of 6-2 most would define as a good SEC record. 6-2 on the verge of 4-4 or 3-5 is not instilling the confidence we strive for.
I'd take a crappy 6-2 over a strong 4-4 however...

And he's part of your camp. I've consistently said that the only thing that matters is Miles v. his possible replacement.
You haven't responded on why we couldn't get Kelly or Harbaugh BTW

Its not supporting Lou Tepper. Its supporting what Lou Tepper sands for, which is settling.

Our record this year is total strawman. We have 0 wins over ranked teams. Secondly it becomes mediocre when despite winning those games you are eliminated from championship talk about halfway through the season.
Which we were

So many chicken littles around here.

Georgia was ranked #18 before we beat them. LSU plays who is on the schedule. That includes roughly how many Bowl bound teams?

I think the losses at LB are my biggest concern.

If you look past inflated record and his records with Saban's recruits. Yes. I wasp praying Michigan would come calling and this could be ended gracefully though

We'll have a monster recruiting class next year. I would rather take a hit this year and not be in a quagmire while trying to lock up that class.

Charles Scott and Lafell. No one on that team besdies those two tried to turn the game around. Once those two started showing some life the rest of the team perked up. I love you how you brush past 3 quarters of pure shite by Miles in that game.

Again see what I said about the recruiting class. Being in a weird love/hate coach battling for his job situation is a bad road to go down. I think the most accurate statement I've heard about coaching changes is "That which must be done eventually, should be done today."

It isn't all the fans. It is a very loud, extremely stupid minority.

Miles sucks at coaching football. That's pretty much how I can best sum it up. He doesn't do anything good, and before you start talking about "recruiting national championships" (lol C. Warner), lets look at what these 5 stars have actually accomplished.

How many times must someone say that we were not eliminated from championship talk? BCS championship: maybe, but still a HUGE outside shot. SEC championshipt: hardly, in that race up until 4th quarter on November 7, 2009.

You realize some of the guys we are complaining about right now are/were highly rated?
Look at Jai Eugene or Al Woods. Just because we have highly rated guys doesn't mean shite.
Secondly I think we've seen that experience means a ton. We lose a lot of experience this offseason.

Because we could have it better than we have now. Quit your outdated LSU is a mom and pop local football thing. There is no reason LSU shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as UF, USC, and UT almost every year as a NC contender
Newsflash sonnyboy. When you have freshmen and soph qbs that have very little playing experience, you dont get mention as a NC contender. Please tell me you noticed tha USC got run only as a contender for the punk 10 champ and that ended pretty quickly.
Get a clue.

Again delusional belief that we had a shot or mathematical possibility doesn't satisfy me.

bullshite sonnyboy. Complete bullshite. Arnsparger was hated because he didn't kiss arse and openly talked about leaving. Saban was hated by anyone who ever witnessed him behaving like the complete midget a-hole he is.
