Something isn't right with this sentence.

He's real. He doen't try to come off as some intellectual a-hole. He realizes he is a football coach and that is enough for him. How could you not like Les Miles. Also, I don't think he puts winning above everything and that is important in my opinion.

I bet the parents love him. There are a lot worse people to allow your son to be around while away from home than Les MIles. I think coach Miles probably teaches more than football to the guys on his team.

Consider Frank Beamer at Va Tech. His teams never really contend for the national title but they're always very legit, they can be counted on for 9 or 10 wins and it's *very* rare they get blown out. That's happened exactly once this decade (ahem). The fans are solidly behind the Hokies even if they lose to JMU. There's isn't much "drama" within the team and a lot of players go on to the NFL or at least are successful somewhere else if they don't. Beamer runs a tight and successful ship, and he isn't going to the Dolphins, he likes it in Blacksburg and Blacksburg likes him.

If you're a promising high school player who is thinking of maybe playing professionally, that's a pretty damn attractive program. And Les Miles during his tenure has done at least that well.

It's funny that a Tulane fan would bring this up considering their whole athletic program is one colossal frick up.

And I think you are a green turd with no one to pull for cause your football team (??????) is so sad, you should be playing Ursuline!! Man, get off this board, you are worthless. We really do not need your opinion, we have hundreds of thousands of LSU fans who do care about Les and his players. You are just trolling to try to start up some crap, like a typical toolame fan used to do. Of course, everyone knows they are an extinct breed, like Dodo birds.

you ask in a sincere manner, citing you do not intend to flame.... you get sincere answers, no one takes the bait to flame on your behalf- so you come back and do it yourself with the f-up comment.

and the answer is that he's a geniune good dude who seems to care. He wins, he believes in his guys, and the NC lends a bit of street cred too I would imagine.

The Beamer analogy was very solid. LSU is a better version of what VT has going on. They are usually pretty legit.

Because he pats them on the back and hugs them after they really frick up in a game, then shortly afterwards, LSU loses the game.
