We needed a NBA 3 over a 6'10" Center and a no call on an inbounds pass mugging to win that game. Brady is fired after the 2006 season if we don't win that game

You do realize that 5 to 10 NCAA tourney games each year are decided by a last second shot or a big play near the end of the game. Darrel Mitchell's winning shot was no more a fluke than any of the other events that occur in March Madness. Now if he had overshot the goal and banked it in like the Georgetown player who sent LSU packing in 1988 that might be a different story.

stop changing the subject. you said it might not happen under brady. empirical evidence has proven that it already has, multiple times, and therefore there is no reason to think it wouldnt again.

I said it may not have occurred under Brady which is true. H e did not coach thta game so no one knows what would or would not have occurred.

quote:

well lets see, williams' first year at unc was 2003-2004, that year they lost to texas in the tournament, and trailed for almost the entire game.

2004-2005: won it all

2005-2006: lost to george mason. largest lead was 14, early in the first half. actually trailed for most of the 2nd.

2006-2007: lost to georgetown in overtime. largest lead was 10 points, with 7 minutes left in regulation.

2007-2008: got destroyed by kansas, never led.

My point was proven.
What difference does it make whether they lost a 14 or 20 point lead. They still lost a double digit lead and shot 1 for 23. Should one assume they were running poor offense?

re-watching it, it appeared that Thornton kept looking left and over his left shoulder. He may not have seen Johnson.

you dumbass. you do realize that leaving a 40% 3 pt shooter wide open leads to a high probability of them making the shot right? how in the hell is ohio st's comeback win over lsu a fluke, but darrel mitchell's prayer when lsu shouldnt have had the ball in the first place isnt?

its also true that pigs may one day fly. that doesnt mean its ever going to happen.

H e did not coach thta game

thank god

so no one knows what would or would not have occurred.

but people do know that past events and the fact that brady is a bad coach make the probability of tennessee coming back should brady have still been here extremely high.

My point was proven.

no it wasnt you dumbass. your point doesnt even exist. north carolina never blew a 20 point lead in the tournament under roy williams in the final minutes of a game. its just more bullshite from you.

quote:

What difference does it make whether they lost a 14 or 20 point lead.

because you said it was a 20 point lead you fricking moron. and it was a 14 point lead IN THE FIRST HALF, not an 18 point lead with 6 minutes left in the game.

quote:

They still lost a double digit lead and shot 1 for 23.

once again, you fricking moron, that wasnt even the same game.

Should one assume they were running poor offense?

no, because we know what north carolina's offense looks like under roy williams. and we know its not a poor offense. it involved running plays, setting screens, cutting to the basket, flashing to the middle, posting people up, and taking good shots. its won them a championship and made them a perennial top 5 team. we also know what lsu's "offense" looked like under brady, and we know it was a terrible offense, or basically not an offense at all. it was guys standing behind the 3 point line throwing the ball around to each other while the shot clock ran down and throwing up a ridiculous shot.

28. dwight lewis was afraid of Magnum Rolle, Chris Johnson, Glenn Davis, Tyrus Thomas, Darnell Lazare, and Kentrell Gransberry, despite the fact that none of them would have any impact on his playing time.

29. dwight lewis knew anthony randolph would be going to lsu a year after he did, and was afraid to sign with lsu because of this.

30. dwight lewis went to kansas.

31. chris johnson is equal to if not better than joakim noah.
