Why did LSU play one less non-conference game than everybody else in the SEC?

Could it have anything to do with the SEC/Big 12 challenge that LSU didn't play in?

Yeah. You are allowed 31 games and LSU only has 30 on the schedule.

I don’t think LSU had 31 scheduled games in a while for some reason either. A few years ago we only scheduled just 29 games.

prob the trip out to Maui cut out one of the McNeese/SFA type games would be my guess.

Our administration could have easily scheduled another game if they had tried hard enough. You dont need 3-6 days between every game, especially if its against "rent a win" team.

Probably has to do with the inordinately long break they take around christmas/finals
