Because most fans don’t understand basic common sense. No one is saying Daniels is Joe Burrow or the best QB in the SEC. He is the best we have though. Everybody is crying that he misses open receivers and I get all that but without his legs a few long plays a game isn’t going to mean anything when another QB would be on their arse or rush some throws and turn the ball over. I don’t care if he throws for 350 yards of throws for 200 and rushes for 150 yards that’s still 350 yards of offense and moving the chains. We need a game manager and someone who can turn busted blocking assignments into positive yards. He is the best option we have and as long as he doesn’t turn the ball over we will do well especially if our defense can play like they did Saturday. If they had a better option to put behind that young offensive line trust me they would do it. And if not for a total lack of experience and first game jitters we would have had a realistic shot of starting season 5-0 after seeing Auburn play this weekend. If we start 4-1 after what happen the last 2 years and some how win 8 or so games on the year idk how anyone can question the coaching decision to start Daniels

You guys are talking like quarterbacks who can routinely complete a pass after making the fourth read are a dime a dozen. Even the best quarterbacks are unable to see wide open receivers.

Jayden is doing a good job. Screw you idiots who are unable to see it.

How about making it to your second read?

If you think what he did in the first half is doing a good job then every qb we have had since 2000 did a good job.

He misses the “second read”, and tucks it, and runs ten yards for a first down. The horror!

Key word. How about the second half?

How many 1st downs do you think we had in the first half?

Average

So since youre keeping score... abysmal 1st half and average 2nd half doesnt equal good

22/37 59% compl.
210 yards
5.7 yards per completion
68 qbr
Is good then every qb we have since 2000 is good

You clearly didnt pay attention last night. 57 of his 210 yards came on 1 drive in the second half.
He had 1 good passing drive in the second half. Tell me how that is anything but average.

1 second half td was set up from a punt returner fumbling and the other was a 47 yard run by a rb

How many yards did he rush for? Did it put his total yards over 300? If so, that is not average.

We have rbs that are better at running the ball. Who are these title winning programs with run 1st qbs. No one is questioning his ability to run the ball.

Is total yards a stat pertaining to qb’s? It absolutely is.

Auburn won their last with Can Newton. Florida won two with Tim Tebow.

So almost a decade ago for 1 and 15 years since the other.
Whose point do you think youre proving here?

Also one of tebow wins they had a pass 1st qb starting in Leak.

Did his running not contribute to the national championship?

Tebow in 2007 threw for over 3200 yards and 32 passing tds. Are you under the impression this is run first?

I said who are these title winning programs with run 1st qbs. 2006 didnt have a run 1st qb and for the record neither did 2007.

im not moving anything
If 22/37 for 210 yards is good then all our qbs from 2000 - present was good.
