Alot of fans on this site question every coaching decision the coaches make despite the record Miles holds and the Crystal in the cabinet. I will never understand some of the people on this site. Why wouldnt you trust a coach who has near a 40-6 record over the last 4 years.

Can't remember the D-back's name to save my life, but due to an injury Saban had to put him in for 1 or 2 plays at the very of the Peach Bowl vs GaTech. He didn't play all year and lost his redshirt on the last play or two of the last game.

Reason I don't mind playing JJ is because look at the class of Lee and Hatch. Lee is a RS Freshman and Hatch is technically a RS Sophomore. Let him play a little this year and use his running ability and maybe next year he wins the job.

He isn't going to sit the bench for 4 years like Flynn and play his 5th year. People almost wanted RP to play over Flynn last year even though he was superior.

Redshirt year is crucial and when a frosh is not redshirted, it shows a team's weakness. Everything is beneficial for a kids long-term development.

Some fans on here are only worried about some players long term development, not all players or the team. When Saban cheated Jack Hunt out of his redshirt year, no one made a peep...but me...when our All-American SS last year was cheated out of his redshirt year, no one made a peep...but me....Saban used these kids to advance himself quickly and not to their benefit...these two safeties should have had that 5th year to really put on the shine...but Shorty cheatewd both of them in my opinion...just my take...have at it!

Lets just say I was very glad Chad Jones didnt redshirt last year.

If JJ doesnt play another snap then losing the RS was a waste, but its still a long season and I think we may just see more of him.

JJ is going to play plenty before the season is over...and a ton next year...he runs the option really well...and his passing will benefit from the confidence that will come from his successful outings...the coaches know all this and is part of their strategy in working him in slowly and in a timely fashion

Saban definitely was a JERK when it came to this. He screwed Travis Daniels and Steltz out of a year by playing each for one meaningless play late in the year.

Shorty only cares about Shorty! Jack Hunt was wasted his feshman year...Steltz was stuck for 2 years behind a decent SS...what a waste!

Why the hell would you redshirt JJ and stick the kid in the same class as Sheppard? Shep is the real deal. JJ needs to get his playing time in now, while the gettins good!

I guess USC is weak because 8 freshman played this year.

I don't mind JJ playing, but I was questioning why Taylor at CB was playing, and why Hatcher at S were playing.

I don't believe they are on special teams, and LSU is very deep and young at those two positions already. I would have rather them get the year to develop.

Because we have Janzen Jackson and Draytoun Calhoun coming in behind Taylor and possibly 2 safeties coming in behind Hatcher (hopefully one by the name of Loston).

I get what your saying about the Redshirt though. But those who dont redshirt are ready to play already and their development starts when they get on the field. Also to note, if we redshirted every freshman that came our way I doubt our recruiting would look as bright. These kids were Stars in HS and they want to Play now, that could have been a major reason for choosing LSU (immediate playing time). We will reload no worries.
