Why are all us common fans called upon

What happened to all the big shots out there snatching up 2nd, 3rds, and 4ths at a shot of bowl tickets? What happened to those that have so many extra tickets that they want to take the extras and give them out to business clients that have zero affiliation with LSU much less even care who wins the game?

So now that LSU isn't "the thing to do", all of us common people are called upon. And when I say common people, I'm talking alumni and faculty of LSU, people that have had season tickets for 20+ years but don't have the money to donate thousands to LSU every year, even though our tuition and season ticket money has equalled that.

And now people like us are the "bad guys"? I don't get it.

This is what kills me when I read posts on here daily about how we're all "such terrible fans" for not going to Atlanta.

We aren't the bad guys. The same thing will happen in basketball just like it happened in baseball. When they win the athletic dept wont need you. When they dont win, the athletic dept will play on your loyalty to get the money.

you jealous grunts just don't get the laws of supply and demand. I don't get preferential treatment like some big TAF donors, but I don't begrudge them the special treatment they get because their financial contributions do more for LSU than the common fan. Quit your crying.

I agree, I have 6 season tickets and for the past few years I have tried to get bowl tickets and was not high enough on the TAF list. I will agree to buy bowl tickets this year if LSU will agree to sell me 6 bowl tickets every year as long as I am a season ticket holder.

So why aren't the big TAF donors stepping to the plate and buying tickets? And why aren't people looking at them instead of us?

I'll gladly pay for season tickets b/c it's one thing I love in life (hence, my screen name). I'll gladly pay for bowl tickets too. But in the years past, I wasn't even given a shot (not even for the Cotton Bowl). And if I wanted a shot, I had to wait for the scraps of those that went through the line 3, 4, sometimes 5 or 6 times snatching up tickets (if I wanted to pay less than a 500% mark up on Ebay). So in other words, I wasn't even given a realistic shot.

And that's not just me, that's the entire LSU fanbase. But now, LSU is stuck with a gob of tickets, and those of us that are given the middle finger every bowl season is given the finger this year, but for a different reason. So, in other words, we can't win. And then we're pasted on this board by some of the members for being "the bad ones" in this situation.

I told myself after last year, "I'm just going to accept the fact that I will never go see a bowl game". Again, that's not just me. I think most of LSU fans reached that point.

If we outnumber the big donors, they why wasn't that the case last year? Or for that matter, in 2002/2007 Sugar Bowl? There wasn't a 1000:1 odds of us getting a ticket then. More like 1:1000.

why should they have to? You can't question that they've already put their money where their mouth is.

Stevo, I promise I'm not a jealous grunt. In fact I gave away my National Championship Tickets in 2003 to someone who would never get the chance to buy them.I did the same with the SEC Championship tickets last year.If you had a clue how the system works you would see how the average fan gets screwed.

No, you're right. God bless TAF. But my point is don't blame the working middle class for not having the money to just throw down for a philanthropic effort at buying a set of bowl tickets this year just to prove a point that we're a great fanbase. Chances are the big donors could afford to do that more than we could.

see the word priority points.
priority means money.
big doners have the big money, henceforth they have the priority. pretty simple concept.
