Special Teams

All of these LSU fans going on and on about depth fail to realize that Bama has depth too. Saban has had Top 5 recruiting classes as long as he's been at Bama except the first year and even it was Top 10. The one area that sets LSU apart is their special teams. Brad Wing is the best I've seen and Bama's punter isn't in the same league. Also Bama's kicker can't reach the end zone. If Bama loses this game, I think one or both of these will be the reason why. You can debate the experience at QB but McCarron has played well and I think he will be up to the task. Have never been impressed with Jefferson and while Lee has played well, not completely sold on him against a defense as good as Bama. All other areas are open for debate although I grant you that Rueben Randle will be the best WR on the field. With two defenses as good as what will take the field tomorrow night, field position will be huge and special teams gives LSU a decided advantage. May the best team win and kick someone's arse in the BCS Title Game. Roll Tide!
