If the SEC network had debuted 10 years ago do you really think they'd talk about Alabama constantly? They just happened to launch during an Alabama dynasty. If they had premiered when Meyer and Tebow were around it'd be all about Florida. They are gonna talk a ton about whoever is in top.

I have no problem with the dude. The problem is that most LSU fans hate ANYBODY that doesn't kiss LSU'S arse. The most spoiled fan base in the country.

I've never really minded him. It's his callers that make me turn the channel or station. I could almost stand it if he didn't let them go on and on for so long.

The dude is all over Saban. I live in Birmingham and that's all these gumps study up here is Finebaum and Saban.
During SEC media days the gumps wanted to get Finebaum fired because of his spat with Saban over the Cam Robinson situation. I will be so glad when we beat Bama just so I can have a Kodak moment on all these gump fans when I go back to work.

I used to really enjoy his show when he was based out of Alabama. He tailored his show on lightly making fun of the delusions of the Alabama and Auburn fan base. It used to be pure comedy.
Unfortunately when he want to ESPN he deluted the quality of the show because other schools in the sec don't have the sheer magnitude of zealous idiots that Bama has.
He hasn't realized that Jim, Phyllis, Tammy, Ironman, ect are why made his show great. Not himself, and the rest of the ESPN cast of clowns that he's forced to interview for two thirds of the show.

Exactly. That's why I like watching Finebaum. He will give a team/coach/player their props when they deserve it. If they f*ckup, he will criticize them accordingly. It's refreshing to see any member of the media practice his profession in this manner.

If you were a talk show host of a successful show, you would also speak to the majority of your viewership in the same manner.
If an LSU fan tells me, "Finebaum criticizes LSU or CLM unfairly, and that's why I don't like Finebaum," you are delusional.
So because ESPN has annointed him as the SEC mouthpiece, you accept it as good content. Damn, you are a simple minded frick which is exactly what ESPN is looking for. Congrats on being that stupid sheep, playa

He has the nerve to think that Nick Saban is a great football coach, Alabama is a great program and they just might be pretty darn good again this year.

No, it's not about which team or coach is the best. When Saban was at LSU, he criticized him for being some "Don Johnson (Miami Vice) wanna be" despite having won the MNC. I don't like him because of his long-standing and persistent negative comments about LSU and Louisiana. He is nothing more than an entertainer who knows how to play his crowd who are primarily Alabamians who think their opinions matter to Finebaum (which they don't).

I know exactly how good saban & bama is. I've been following SEC football for decades. 1) On the SECN, I do not want it shoved down my throat 5 days a wk. 2) It IS the SECN & as such, it should cover all the league schools equally. If it's just about the #1 team, call it what it is unofficially , the bamaNetwork. Some of you here obviously do not watch his show that much.
