Marcel Brooks
Overshadowed a little by the other 5 stars Stingley and Emery, this kid is a special player.

Neal Farrell or Kendall McCallum - both are nasty!

Marcel Brooks
If anything has been proven in Aranda's system, LBs in his system are the best shot at sleepers.
2016: Duke Riley led in tackles after never being more than a reserve, Kendall Beckwith only other player with 90+ tackles (Devin White 30 tackles, 3TFLs in limited playing time)
2017: Devin White led in tackles with 133. Corey Thompson out of nowhere with 7 TFLs and 6 sacks.
2018: Devin White (Butkus winner), Jacob Phillips first year starter finishes second on team in tackles. (Divinity emerges after being relatively quiet with 4th in tackles on team, 10.5 TFLs and 5 sacks).
I think Marcel Brooks is a REALLY good choice for sleeper.

Agreed.
He really came into his own at the end of last year and this year he's going to be even better.
He's an elite athlete and I think has CJ Moseley type NFL future.

Deculus. The guy was a sophomore last year at a position that usually takes three years to develop. He and Charles prove to be good SEC tackles this year.

Austin Deculus will surprise some people this season.

Man, I hope so, but I just don't see it.
He was really slow off the snap last year and quicker DE's easily got around him. It's hard to teach athleticism.
But, I really do hope he somehow figures it out

I don't see him getting on the field except for special teams and mop up until late in the season.
He won't play in base because we'd have to sit Stevens or Queen. The nickle spot is just too complex to put a freshman until he has it down pat, especially when we have experienced talent like Vincent and Harris.
Jacoby Stevens barely played as a freshman. If he wasn't at such a critical position at which a mistake can result in a TD it would be different.

John Emery will have over 1,000 yards rushing.

He will play if he can pass rush.

Is that really a sleeper pick? If he's really 5-star talent, he should be able to rush for 1,000yds if he becomes the starter.
It's like saying Stingley will lead in INTs.

I think Moss' name may be called more than most think.
At this point it seems like Moss is about as real as Manti Teo's girlfriend.

I would normally agree with you on every point. I just think that Brooks is a real special talent and I think might be better than Stevens was as a freshman. Special teams for sure, but I think he’s going to find a place somewhere on defense; he’s so versatile.

1. Considering that he will be sharing snaps with CEH, Chris Curry, Fournette, and maybe Tyrion Davis uhhhh yeah I'd say it is a sleeper.
2. Comparing Emery to Stingley is about the dumbest argument you could've made right there.

Give me Jarell Cherry. The fact that they want Divinity moving inside despite having Queen, Baskerville, Clark, and Starks there tells me that there’s confidence from the staff that someone will be emerging as the 2nd pass rusher opposite chaisson, and Cherry would figure to be that guy as far as I see it. Could be a ridiculous pass rush this year.

By definition, a sleeper can't be your highest rated 5-star offensive recruit at a position where the previous starter graduated and is no longer here.
