Daniels only in wildcat packages with his legs. He is far too horrible of a passer to be permitted to throw the ball.
I don't believe the Spring game is indicative of his passing skills. He has been more accurate while at A State. Watch his YouTube videos the past couple of years. Hoping the coaching staff can cure his inaccuracies.
What a weapon, if he can develop his passing skills and become more consistent.

My belief is whether Nuss or Myles is the starter there will be a series per half for Daniels. Similar to what CLM did with Perilloux. Miles always stuck to the game plan with Perilloux regardless of the game circumstances.
Wow...you actually think BK is as utterly incompetent as Les Miles?

So, in other words, you want to completely negate LSU's most lethal weapons in the wide receiver room in favor of JD's legs.

We haven’t had the competition yet really.
So the 15 spring practices in which by all accounts Nussmeier was the best and most consistent QB of the three QBs and also the QB who threw the least amount of picks didn't count?
How about the spring game that Brian Kelly made as realistic as possible so he could see, as he said, which of the QBs would perform the best under game like conditions. It didn't count either?
quote:
you could tell that Kelly is comfortable with myles out there.
Really? How? Because I sure in the hell couldn't tell.
quote:
he probably would start if we had a game that upcoming Saturday.
Really? Okay, since recommitting to play again for LSU after no one wanted him in the transfer portal, what exactly has MB done in the 15 spring practices and in the spring game that gives you your impression in which is obviously wishful thinking more than it is anything else.
quote:
The question is , did nuss just play over his head in that spring game or was he doing that in practice too.
Well, according to various sources Garrett Nussmeier was easily the best and the most consistent QB in all 15 spring practices and he also threw by far the least amount of picks.
Not to mention that Jacob Hester also confirmed that observation on his radio show as well. As he said he attended 8 of LSU practices in the spring and he said Nussmeier was the only QB flashing and that he flashed in all eight of those practices he observed.
Moreover, if you doubt Nussmeier's accuracy take a look a the following video starting at the 19:00 mark for his first possession and then skip to the 21:50 mark for his second possession. It'll take maybe 3 minutes of your time at the most.

Anyway, notice Nuss' perfect mechanics. As Nuss was coached up all of his life by his NFL QB coach father who imparted on his son all of his knowledge, experience, and wisdom. Notice how fast Nuss gets the ball out of his hands and into the hands of the receivers. Notice how Nuss distributed the ball to Jack Bech, Jontre Kirklin, Jaray Jenkins, Brian Thomas, Jr and Malik Nabers. Finally, notice those next level NFL throws Nuss completed in tight windows to Jontre Kirklin, Brian Thomas, Jr, and to Malik Nabers.
Did Nuss look like a true freshman still very wet behind the ears to you in that game? No, he looked like a future first rounder with elite arm talent because he is a future first rounder with elite arm talent.
quote:
That’s obviously what stood out in the passing game to me. It was myles’ comfort with the offense and nuss’ downfield accuracy that stood out. We will see if those things continue this fall
Actually, Nuss was the only QB to score on all four of his four possessions. He also threw several NFL level passes that both MB and JD can only dream of throwing in their wildest wet dreams.
Nuss also got the ball out of his hands and into the hands of his receivers far faster than the other two QBs and all of his drives were far faster, far smoother, far more effective, and far more efficient relative to his other two counterparts
Meanwhile, JD scored on only two of his five possessions, while only completing 3 passes for the game.
While MB also scored on only two of his five possessions. However, I don't give MB any credit for that final score he is credited with because he not only badly under threw the ball but he also threw the ball to the wrong location and then the ball got knocked and deflected into Malik Nabers hands for the lucky score. Ninety-nine percent of time, that ball would have been intercepted or knocked onto the ground, as opposed into Malik Nabers hands.
For all intents and purposes, this staff already knows who the starter is. However, they deliberately kept that knowledge close to the vest to prevent any of the QBs from transferring and to continue the competition into the fall camp. Then in the fall camp, they will let the cat out of the bag.
Meanwhile, the QB who will be named the starter in the fall is quite obvious, and if it turns out to be someone else, I wouldn't blame him one iota if he hits the transfer portal so fast that it will make Brian Kelly's head spin.

Phil Steele projects Jaylen as the starter in his annual publication, and he's mista know-it-all.
Why would you refute Dr. Steele's expertise in all things college football?
That's hilarious. Phil Steele and his exceedingly lame publication he puts out annually are about as useless as tits on a boar hog. Indeed, I put about as much stock into Phil Steele's garbage as I do the ESPN FPI.
Phil Steele doesn't even have LSU ranked in his top 60. Yet, you believe Phil Steele is credible. Wow.

What tells you that Jayden will be the starter whenever he was obviously the worst of the three in the only competitive atmosphere we’ve witnessed?
Some people want Jayden to be the starter for one very obvious reason, but I can’t say why because I don’t want to get in trouble.
