i went to the last 3 home games before the Southern game and thats just my guess. I could be totally off.

i don't even think we totalled 2400 for those 3 games. i was at those 3 as well

the NT and McNeese game actually had about 2,500 each. Combined about 10 students though...

I'll be there roaming around in my LSU ballcap.
Actual butts in seats for the average Rice game is 500-600, sometimes less. Big name opponent or rival maybe 2,000. When Texas came in a couple years ago the place was 80% of capacity (5,000+), but 75% were Texas fans.
Only sport at Rice that draws flies is baseball (no pun intended). BTW, I noticed that Rice baseball opens at home in Feb. on consecutive weekends vs. Stanford and Southern Cal.
Houston is a pro sports city, not a college sports city.
