I'm not a big Jimbo fan. I'm looking for a clone of Nick Saban, one that goes 11 & 1 or better EVERY season. If this person does not exist, then I have no idea what the f*c* we could do. This is why I prefer the man we have IF he can at least get us to a consistency whereby 10 & 2 is our worst season and can reel off some 11 & 1s. I will never EXPECT a 12 & 0 since I know I most likely can't find a Saban or Dabo.

Didn’t he barely beat Duke at home by a field goal? By itself, I wouldn’t discredit FSU’s season because of a close game against a weak opponent, but in the context of the whole season, it makes FSU look like a pretty poor team. Not sure I’d want to hire a guy for so much money when he had a tough time getting wins in a weak conference with such a perennial powerhouse of a team/brand.

Saban’s a great coach, but his record is inflated by virtue of the name of the team he’s coaching. “Players make plays.” Both Saban and bama have become mythical in the media, which boosts their recruiting. They’d still be great at recruiting if they didn’t have the same status in the CFB zeitgeist, but I guarantee you that they’d have half as many championships if they didn’t get all of the players that they wanted and receive the mulligans that no other team receives.

Once the spell is broken and they are perceived as an elite but not invincible team, whenever that happens, the Force will regain balance. That is beginning to happen because the rest of the country is experiencing SEC and bama fatigue. We comin.

No man, he totally annihilated two amazing teams by 7 points in each game. I think Duke and Wake Forest both made the playoffs that year though. So a tip of the hat for Jimbo is in order here.

He also destroyed a championship caliber 4–8 (2–6) Syracuse by a whopping 27-24 score at Tallahassee in Dino's second year.

Looking at it. Jimbo Fisher really is a QB whisperer and could possibly be the GREATEST college football coach EVER.

Nobody destroys Duke, Wake Forest and Syracuse like that in the same season. WE ARE TALKING WINNING THESE THREE GAMES BY 17 TOTAL POINTS COMBINED. This scares me and I may not be able to sleep tonight. Wholly OR Holy shite - I can't even figure out how to talk or spell anymore. This is horrible!!!!

Do you actually think it’s a good idea to compare wins and losses when discussing the merits of Ed Orgeron and Jimbo Fisher?

Think this through, Ree.

Why not?

This past season LSU went 10-3 and finished ranked as the 6th best team in the country.

A&M was 9-4 and finished as the 16th best team in the country.

Does that bother you for some reason?

You want to look at Jimbo's last year at FSU? His last 3 years at FSU?

If you're scared, say you're scared.

So you’re perfectly fine with going back to a coaches previous head coaching record when it is helpful to your argument?

Hypocrite.

I’m beginning to see a pattern developing. Any coach with an NC is unworthy of your adoration and must be torn down in the name of Ed Orgeron. You have to prop him up by tearing down others because to this point, Orgeron has done nothing of note and you know it.

I don't follow A&M and have no idea what they have done since the bowl game besides their recruiting class and the two 4-stars who have not qualified.

If you want to recap yall's offseason I would read it. Thanks in advance!!!!

For what? Not loving your coach? I tend to pull for LSU and not other SEC teams. Sorry

No shite? This board is on the Tigerdroppings website and is called the TigerRant. Amazing you can put this unbelievable puzzle together. Congratulations!!!!

Again, I am an LSU fan. I won't bow down to your coach who drove a team like FSU into the ground.

You want me to kiss your coach's arse for finishing 9-4 and ranked #16 in the country. I have already said that him beating juggernauts Wake, Duke and Syracuse by a combined 17 points was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. What else do you want me to say about your coach?

He finished with a better record and higher ranking than your coach. Is that nothing of note? You think your coach will finish better than Eaux in record and/or ranking for the coming season?

If so, tell me about it. I will read your thoughts on the matter.

No fricking way. We have a better coach and staff, and let’s not forget how his FSU team flat out gave up on him for 2 years and that he ran the program into the ground.

It is a little different going to Ohio State the best team in the Little-10 and going to the SEC and A&M.

Jimbo had to leave FSU.

You’re such a sad little lightweight.

I miss Ben. You and the other sycophants should have learned from him. He was capable and worthy of a good argument.

You’re a hypocrite because you’re quick to point out Jimbo’s past failures while ignoring his NC, but the second anyone brings up Orgeron’s past failures and lack of NC, you don’t want to talk about it.

You constantly provide shallow arguments and then strut around like you’ve won something. It’s pathetic

Jimbo is 1-0 against Orgeron. Let me remind you. Neither coach has done a fricking thing to this point at their respective schools. But only one has a proven history. That’s the fricking reality and why some would prefer Jimbo to Orgeron.

It won’t happen. Outside of the $75 million dollars, he made a mistake going to A&M if the goal was to win another NC.
