If accurate, that sounds like a good day for DE. Still not confident he can do that consistently against very good teams.

Etling's problem is not potential. He has potential, but he's been hit or miss. 1 good pass. 1 bad pass. Similar results scrambling.

He fixes those things, then there's a chance. If not, I hope we pull the plug before it costs a playoff chance.

Etling. They won't outwork him. He's bigger, stronger, a film junky, back should be healed, has a year under his belt facing sec comp... not many 1st year sec qbs do that well and he did ok with a very vanilla offense. Etling will suprise a lot of ppl imo

That's is another workerhaulic on the roster. Stronger than who? That's said, DE is capable.

I think it's etling's spot to lose. If and when be screws up, I think JM will have a good shot as the back-up and possibly grab the starting spot.

Yea because this has never happen before. They wouldn't bench Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton or Warren Moon for someone with no experience but Etling?? Im tired of the experience bullshite costing us games. I just hope canada moves us pass this. Etling is not very good and I hope we don't wait until a Bama thrashing to accept this.

Goddam our fans are fricking stupid. What a moron.

To me this translates into a, LSU lead by Etling, victory over Alabama in Tuscaloosa 2017 on national TV? Yeah he's stupid and you're Albert Einstein.

I think you mean LSU led by Etling.

And how can we guarantee that we will beat Alabama on April 8, regardless of who plays QB for either team?

This is why you and the guy I originally commented to are both painfully stupid.

How dare anyone on here share their opinion and not feel the same about a players performance as others. Anyone who critiques DE that doesn't match the "good" fans will be called dumb and stupid.

Grow TF up and respect the opinions of others. Yes DE is capable just like anybody else on the roster is capable. Doesn't mean he'll live up the championship he was just given by some poster.

Only time will tell. But my gut says he will not have as good a season as we need to win the biggest games.

Well at least these posts will be on here to show how incredibly stupid you are. It is more than obvious that Etling is already the starter. There is no competition. You not on any of the premium sites?

I'm just here to bump my tread because after reading it I didn't find one good argument for etling outside of experience. I wish the kid a quick recovery but a back injury a back injury. I'm a realist and I know for a fact that if we had a reliable returning starter he wouldn't be in an open QB battle with a bunch of underclassmen. He is the QB we all watched last year. He had some good moments and he was better then BH i'll admit. You don't hear canada saying we have a open position battle at RB though. He in a QB battle to light a fire under him . WOW

HUH? I'm stupid for listening to the offensive coordinator instead of the freaking rant. Maybe I should listen to the pay sites because they always right .
