They also hate Orgeron. They haven't been happy since Saban.

you may be stretching this notion a bit...and besides...That offense was an outlier among Miles offenses with the numbers OBJ/JL and Mett put up.

LSU had 1st and goal at the 7 with 2 timeouts and 35 seconds on the clock.
1st play Guice for 2 yards...TO FLORIDA! 26 seconds left
2nd play Guice for 4yds to the 1...TO LSU
3rd play no gain TO LSU
4th down fumble
Tell me how we weren't able to run the entire offense? we ran it 4x bc we had timeouts. Would you not have given it to Guice on 4th and 1?

I'm not.

Sure, but over the course of his time here, 2014/15 were the outliers too.

They were able to run it four times because McElwain called timeouts to preserve time on the clock for himself
Unless you think that O intentionally called running plays to not score and make UF take timeouts.

i knew 3 plays into each game, 2016,17,18 that we had no chance to win if those were the gameplans. and sure enough...

Yep. Awesome drive. Terrible finish.

The classic "but but but Les did it too!". Les was fired, why compare O to someone he was supposed to improve upon?
anyone with any football knowledge would see how glaring the differences are between the 2 in clock management just comparing those 2 games. One did a great job managing the clock (I mean shite we had 2 TO's with less than 30 seconds left when has Miles ever had that)...and the Auburn game...just go watch the last drive

of course he called a timeout...bc we executed the perfect last drive until fumbling on the final play. The goal is to score and leave little to no time on the clock and make the opponent use TO's.

We drive down the field at Auburn and would have won had the clock operator decided to operate the clock any differently.
I know Roger said it about the UF game, but I'm sure you agree. It was a great drive with a terrible ending. That is equally applicable to the Auburn game if you aren't shilling for one coach only.
Now if you want to talk about Ole Miss '09, yea Les fricked that up pretty good.

So what? I really don't see how you can scoff at his career accomplishments.
You have to make the most of where you are and what you're given. He did, and his current performance suggests that in hindsight maybe winning his division at that time was a tremendous coaching job, one that lesser coaches couldn't have done.
The coach here is in a much tougher conference, but was also given a much better team than Dabo was given. Get it done.

OH NO! I had no idea we had "teams."

He hasnt exceeded expectations imo. He is doing what I thought he would do. I do agree he is an upgrade over miles, based upon the simple fact he is willing to make changes in order to improve the program. Miles was unwilling.

The O lackeys are the ones just happy Miles is gone because they spent years calling him an idiot that was holding us back and winning on talent alone.
They flipped the script in September of 2017, though, once they realized going 44-1 OOC isn’t actually as easy as it appeared so they started the rebuild narrative.
Spot on.

My problem with the drive is we should have had more urgency getting plays off in b/w snaps. Had we done that we could've run another play...you really need to just watch that drive again. I want to say a play ended with 50+ seconds left and we didn't snap the ball until about 25 seconds left. That is half the clock we let wind down.
ETA_even with what I thought was a lack of urgency the same thing cost us the game as it did in the UF game...bad execution on final play

You can't assume the plays work the same if we rushed them.

No i don't.

We still were within a second of winning that game. You can't say it was horrible clock management considering we needed to drive the length of the field with no timeouts and needed a td, when we came that close to pulling it off.
Like I've said twice now, there are better examples.
