Miles is set for life based on what we already paid him.
Bottom line is we got 2 BCSNC in a decade. That is 2 more than any of us thought we might see in our lifetime.
Is Miles going to get us another one in the foreseeable future? Probably not.
Was Miles the best coach for long term? Who knows.
Was Miles so highly wanted that we could have told him to wait? NO - he was never sought after by higher ranked schools. He was probably on the verge of wearing out his welcome at Ok state.
Did he know he was getting a gift from above and walking into a gold mine? Yes - at that time, there was little, if any, fool's gold in our program.

He turned down SC this year and is a Bama grad.....it is what I would want but it will never happen. He isn't leaving Corvallis.

Please don't compare Mack Brown to Les Miles. Please don't compare leaving TEXAS for another school. I mean are you that freaking dumb? What the hell school would Mack Brown leave for?
Would he leave is besides the point....what schools came knocking at Browns door? You're kinda proving my point by saying "What the hell school would Mack Brown leave for?". What the hell school would Les Miles leave for? He's the head coach at freakin' LSU.
I mean...if you think about it, head coaches at big time schools rarely leave for another school anyways, unless its for their dream job.
So basically...you're argument is not worth arguing and its a dumb way to rate a head coach.
