Honest question. UCLA has a team avg. of what... .251, and I heard on the radio that they have as many as 7 lefties in the lineup, so why not start Glenn.

Because it is the most important game of the season. Why would you start anyone other than your undefeated ace who will be a first round draft pick next year?

Because game 1 of the CWS is the most important to get you started. You take no chances.

frick it. Why not start Broussard? I'm sure his recovery is going well enough that he could come out and shut down those shitty ucla hitters.

I understand that, but.....
You get a lefty vs. lefty matchup against the majority of their line up, and save your undefeated ace for what should be a better team in game 2. Just throwing that out there.

This. I don't mind shaking up the rotation and have Glenn pitch game 2, hell he should be well rested.

Well if we win our first two and UCLA wins their next 2 we would meet again in game 3 for us throw Glenn then.

Don't forget UCLA beat cal st Fullerton the #5 national seed. They are tough start Nola.

Nola is more of a sure thing at this point.

And I don't get this "better" team shite thrown around the rant the past few days. It's the CWS. Most of the teams there got there by beating pretty damn good national seeds. Yeah, now would be a great time to start taking teams lightly.
