Exactly. How about we just enjoy being freaking LSU fans? Unless you just came aboard in the past seven years, the enjoyment of LSU football hasn't come with an expectation that we win the SEC and national championship every year.
It's not that winning isn't important, and it's really frustrating to see us blow games we should win, but wallowing in the frustration and sitting here in March expecting the worst in the fall - what fun is that?

A major reason we don't win as many of those as some other teams do.

Given that it's been 12 years since any team in the SEC has won consecutive conference titles, expecting to win even the SEC every year isn't a very reasonable expectation.
But I'm not saying we should accept mediocrity, which I guess is what you're getting at - that fans have to keep pressure on the program so we don't end up with Curley Hallmans. I agree with you there. I'm saying that sitting here in March and worrying that we are going to suck in the fall doesn't do any good.

I think I'm gonna have the feeling of this team is better then what the record shows. It will also get me real pumped up for 2011. Just a bunch of hard games on the schedule this year

[quote]did you forget that we almost lost almost every game we played last year?
How many regular season games did we lose last season where we were the favorite? The odds makers had Florida, Alabama and Ole Miss favored over LSU. Guess who beat LSU last season? Who did we lose to where we were the favorites during the regular season. Almost only counts in horseshoes.

Where do you guys get your drugs from?
LSU at best well go 9-3 next season. We do not have the most important position on the feild? A QB.
We saw last year, how not having a qualified QB cost us the Ole Miss game, when JJ decided to spike it to end the game.
We have great WR's but no one to get them the ball.

I am optimistic as i was a month ago, that LSU would win 7-9 games.
Giving what we know, that is optimistic.

according to TIGERLEE, we have the best coaches in America. . .and last season was 100% the fault of Jordan Jefferson. . .
So if Lee or Garrett starts, we win the Super Bowl over the Colts by 35.

That's just it. I'm just not as enthusiastic about the season as I usually am, knowing that with Miles, our chances of a championship (conf. or natl.) are zero. 2007 was a complete mathematical fluke for a team that should have blown their title shot at home against Arkansas, and we've gotten steadily worse every year since.

I'm optimistic....because being pessimistic sucks.

The idiots who are saying 6,7, and even 8 win seasons piss me off. I wish I could figure out how to block them
