Have to put a plug in for Dietzel. He was Saban with a personality.
Skip is unparalleled.
Dale Brown was unique, and he may not have been a genius, he was the master at devising a gimmick defense to stop a particular player/team set.
Our Track and Field coaches are probably the best of all, however. Amazing records over the last few decades.

Dale Brown. And is a much better man than he was a basketball coach. And I say that as a compliment since I think he was a great coach.

Cholly Mac - truly a classy man.
Press Maravitch - for bringing Pete to LSU as well as himself.
Skip Bertman - for making LSU baseball into the juggernaut that it is today.

Coach Dale Brown...hands down. I remember during one of his weekly radio shows, coach Brown was talking and encouraging a young man who was dealing with depression. The show was about basketball but coach Brown reached out and showed love towards that young man. Dale was truly daddy Dale Brown. He treated other people with class and dignity unlike Bobby Knight. God bless coach Brown.
