Point taken, Pete won every game for those terrible teams. Hardly ever in football do you see one guy make the impact on a great team like TM7 did. He totally swung 4 games by himself making 3-4 plays in those games Every time seemed like it was a crucial time of the game. He made the play that turned it around. I kept waiting against BAMA, and he never did. Although that whole team that night looked like they had seen a ghost and didn't want to be there.

I definitely agree. It's harder to win a game by yourself, so to say, in football than it is in basketball unless you are a quarterback. But still, I think it's safe to assume that Pete probably won dozens of games by himself. I think the biggest argument against TM7 is the fact that he did was kicked off the team and lost the extra year to win more games by himself. Also, the way that college basketball is structured now with the one-and-dones makes it virtually impossible to see another Pete or Kareem in college basketball ever again.

There is zero possibility of answering such a question with any degree of certainty, statistically or otherwise.
A better question is who is your all time favorite LSU athlete and why? That's what you're going to get anyway, so I guess it makes no difference.

Anyone who saw the Pistol play would probably put him first and I would because he set records that will never be broken and it was tremendous to watch him perform.I rarely missed one of his games and I wasn't a big BB fan. But there are obviously valid arguments for a number of others.
