I cant imagine Wing giving up on two years of playing to head off to NFL free agency and wish for the best.

A few more 12 yard punts and we wont have to worry about it.

FWIW, I don't think Wing is going pro early because of his greatness. Wing could suck it up the rest of the year and still won't be back in P&G next year.

I mean kicker and punter are the two hardest positions to make it in the nfl. Not many teams carry backups. The good ones are competitive for much longer periods of time then other positions.

Plus there's a shite ton of college kickers and punters that are all vying for what maybe 10 to 15 at the most punter spots each year. It may be lower then that but if wing was smart he needs the guaranteed playing time before he leaves school early.

Oh ok. So wing just may not like playing football or lsu or les miles or whatever.

If you know something I wish you would just tell rather then being so vague.

Man that sucks if we have another guy quit on his team.

Will he transfer? Because this thread is about the nfl draft not guys that quit.

im fairly certain Reid is set to graduate early which would solidify his decision to leave early. He's obviously one of the smarter members of the team and I would think getting a diploma would be something he would want to do

None of the above. Wing did not go to LSU to go to LSU. He went to LSU to get to the league. He's gone after this year. That's not vague in the least. It's just that there's a bunch of conspiracy theorists on here that can't handle something so simple. There's got to be a magic bullet or a grassy knoll.

Wing will be 22 by the time the 2013 draft rolls around, and Keehn is two years older than him as a freshman. I could see Wing going, but I hope he punts like a madman the rest of the season to help his cause and make some dough.

Cool man, I get it now and did not know that about wing. Thanks for answering my question.

If he really wants to go then so be it and good luck. It's a hard position to stick at but he will get the chance if his pinpoint accuracy from last year is still there. (Hasn't gotten to show it as much this year) Now he needs to kick his heart out the rest of the year and avoid anymore shanks.

Who had this success against him? Was that in practice you saw that as you scoutted?

Is Wing 21? what am I missing here? Isn't he a true Soph?

ETA: I see that he is. NVM> I don't think he'll leave, but he cannot "improve his draft position" as a punter. What is he going to do, move from the 7th round to the 6th?

Sam isnt as gone as some of yall think.

I talked to him at a party last year and apparently he really really wants his degree and its a priority for him and his family.

He also doesnt like football all that much but he loves the family and community associated with the LSU team.

I am not saying he is staying but He has a better chance at staying than some of yall think

I hope you were laughing because he is not draft eligible. The guy has first round written all over him. Hell the whole first string(Freak should be) are first rounders.
