Not Simon. If he comes back, he is "the guy" back there, just like Reid this year, Mo last year, PP7, etc.

Are you kidding? Quit watching on the radio. They do throw at Mills more, but Simon has been thrown on a bunch with success. I'd say obviously: Montgomery and Mingo Wing Possibly (meaning 40% chance or better): Reid Ware Maybe (meaning 1%-39% chance): Simon Ford

Wing? Hasn't really done much this season, needs to stay another year and have another 2011 style season IMO

And Tharold is gone if he has any chance in the first 4 rounds. Have known him since HS and just have a feeling hes gone. Then again he could come back and show out and skyrocket his draft stock.

Wing is gone 'irregardless' of his season dude. He ain't coming back next year. His stats and his overall season aside.

I'd like someone to explain why, after our FRESHMAN punter has an All American season, we go out and grab another punter, WELL after the signing date.

Why would he?

The dude seems like he loves college, and he will have a long career in the NFL.

You really think so?

His family is fairly well off, I don't see why it would hurt to stay another year.

Believe, or choose not to believe. He will NOT be back next season.

okay, so you're basing this on his all American freshman year and the recent signing of another punter?

Anything else you know that would lead one to believe he's leaving early?

I'm not saying it's completely absurd but I don't think it's a given he's gone after this season.

Not saying your wrong just wondering what the reasoning is for wing. He is a sophomore and not having a great season just ok compared to last year. He can boot it but so can every nfl punter.

It's also not easy for kickers and punters to find a spot in the league and stick. There are only 32 punters positions in the nfl and not that many guys retire each year because they can punt for a while so most of those spots are not open. Think back to all the great kickers lsu has had over the years and how many had long careers in the nfl. Not many.
