That's a pretty bold statement to say about someone who's only started 8 games so far.

unbias, huh?
that's just as bad as someone saying Lee will never get better

PLease give us your reasoning for picking Jarrett Lee. I would love to hear how he is a better QB than jefferson by throwing more Int's than TD's.....

No problem. QBs make it in the draft based on their potential to succeed in the NFL.

Heisman winning QBs get drafted in the 7th round because college production does not equate to NFL success.

NFL scouts look for certain skills and mainly potential. JL looked terrible at times last year, but what will get him drafted was the times when he looked brilliant.

On the other hand, JJ has looked inept most of the year and has not shown any signs of brilliance out side of the 1st half of the bowl game. His performance this year has shown how much of a fluke that was.

Jarrett Lee 116.9 143-269-16 Int's 53.2 1873 14 TD's 66 170.3 ypg

Jo. Jefferson 133.4 127-218-4 Int's 62.8 1435 yds 11TD's 58 169.3 ypg

To me it looks like Jordan Jefferson has done a waaaaay better job.

What is biased about the statement?

JJ is not a gunslinger, but more of a game manager. Although I hate that term, its true in this instance. With the current system and attitude towards JJ, the coaches do not want him to win or lose any games for LSU, just survive.

On the other hand, JL was used as a gunslinger last year. He has thrown the ball in each of his appearances this year as well. Its the same system that JJ plays in, so obviously the coaches are comfortable with JL going out there and throwing it around to everyone, including the other team at times haha. JL was/is pushed to win the game by his own hand, and at times, you also lose games that way.

Its not a knock on either player, just two different attitudes and situations that the coaches have put them in.

Bottom line...

Lee has some qualities that NFL teams like. JJ may have, but hasn't shown it yet.

Kinda early to make predictions on either, but Lee throws a very good deep ball. Byrd could have had 2-3 long TD's last year if he didn't have the dropsies.

Say Lee gets over his INT's, JJ learns to be a pocket passer......its too early to tell. Both could happen.

Nice. There's only 7 rounds.

Don't know. JJ's release is too slow for the NFL however.

Lee will play in the NFL as a QB. He may not get there by way of LSU, but he'll be drafted.

Jefferson will not play in NFL as a QB, nor will Shepard.

For that matter, Pat White will not take meaningfull snaps as a QB in the NFL either.

Look at Vince Young. He can't beat out Kerry Collins a journeyman at best.

Dual Threat QB's don't make it in the NFL. Michael Vick, probably the best, was one of the worst rated QB's prior to his incarceration.

He peaked w/ the NFC championship game. After that year was a steady downhill slide. You can look it up. Also check his passer ratings for last year in NFL.
